Morningside House of Satyr Hill

The people that work and care for my sister seem to be friendly and like her and try to help her out. The maintenance just went through and renovated, they painted and put new carpet in. The exterior of the building is always nice looking, they have flowers and things outside and a little pond so that's good. They always do a good job cleaning her room and doing her laundry. She seems to be happy with the food. There are certain dishes that she likes and the aides give her snacks. My sister is not one to participate in too many activities, but she does enjoy the entertainment in the lobby. Overall, I think the people that work there are pretty good.

I think the value is great compared to what a nursing home would cost to get a higher level of service. They make her laugh and I don't want to move her anywhere else because then she wouldn't have those people. The people that take care of her daily are the best part about that place. I think maintenance does an excellent job. They recently redecorated the place, upgraded the look of it, and it really looks good. I think they've done a good job there. They keep the place very clean, that's one thing she remarks upon, it is nice and clean.

The management team made such a difference for my father over the last four years. I couldn't be happier with them there. Anytime we had an issue and I met with the Director, it was handled right away. Jackie, Michelle, and the two Tracy's in the care department were wonderful. They were patient, kind, and informative. They were outstanding. The activities department had movies and table games all of the time. They took trips, and he loved those. They treated him so nicely in the dining room. I have no complaints. Everyone was so kind.

My dad has been at the community for almost four years now. I think the activities offered are adequate, although he does not participate much. I like the driver; he takes his time and is courteous, and is a very skilled driver. The vehicle is clean. The maintenance department has been good and is there for whatever you need. I'd say we are satisfied.

The hands-on assistance has been very good; the caretakers are very kind people. We work very well together and it's very nice. It's very nice, very good, there are a lot of activities and things for the residents to do, and the management is very good. Chris has always been extremely helpful with me as have the other folks. The maintenance and transportation have also been very nice. We have no complaints.

It looks like they have activities that are appropriate for elderly residents. My mom loves that someone comes in to do her hair. The cleaning seems to be fine. The place never looks dirty. They put her laundry away when it is finished. The whole place looks clean and organized. Maintenance came in and got her TV programed. They were very good there. They helped me with her furniture when she moved in. The nurses seem like they take care of her and change her depends regularly. The aides are caring and try to help the residents. They are understanding and do a very nice job. Everybody seems to be very professional and helpful. They are doing a super job. She is being taken care of and everything is being provided for her. The overall atmosphere and personal are all very good. It seems like it is a good value. They were kind enough to discount my mom's room to help with the cost. The value is good for what she receives.

My father really enjoys the food. He loves the art classes. He's very proud of what he's done in them, and he's done a lot. Maintenance is excellent. They're pretty good with keeping his place vacuumed and dusted. I think they do his laundry once a week as well, and he never complains. The gal who takes care of him he loves, and everyone loves him. He's 101 and in a wheelchair. His mind is very full and active and they do a good job of helping with that.

My mom has lived at the community since 2012. I think the food is adequate and the service is good. We are overall satisfied with the services and accommodations offered.

Whatever we ask for, they're there to help and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The bus driver was very friendly and helpful. The laundry service is very good. My father greatly enjoys the music and they do seem to have people coming in and playing instruments and that's a big thing for him. The presentation is nice and the dining room staff is accommodating, the dining area is very clean and seems like an orderly operation. Everyone I've come into contact with there has been very helpful and professional, my experience has been great.

I moved in once I was out of rehab. For the most part the food was pretty good. The laundry was fine. The maintenance department took care of any problems and the facility was good. The caregivers were usually available. It was fine.
