Morningside House of St. Charles

I think it is a good value. The benefit of what I'm receiving and what my mom is receiving I would do it again and again. It gives me more help than I can provide her. They do have some diversity in the activities and they have a full schedule. The current care staff I feel very comfortable with. They always call me when they see issues. I have been in constant contact and they have gone above and beyond. I have been working with Tarsha and Tracy and their help has been very much appreciated.

The management is always there. When we ever we need to get in touch with them they are always available to us. They have been very good. They have different activities and they keep them busy. The place is always clean. The care givers are very good with him.

My mother been there several years. They are all respectful and nice to the residents and to me. My mother says the food is good and so is apartment cleaning. They work hard to keep it smelling nice in the Memory Care Unit. It's a lot of money, but I did look around and I'd say it's a fair price for what we get.

It looked like a nice place, it looked like it had a lot of activities and it was reasonably priced. When I look at the calendar, they have things going on every day, every time I go to visit there are usually groups doing things. It's always clean and looks nice when I go there and the healthcare staff is all very nice.

The management has been very nice and helpful. I like the fact that they have a lot of activities to keep her stimulated and busy and active. The staff seems to enjoy the residents. The building is always clean and there is never a bad smell. The residents look well taken care of. The caregivers are on top of everything and they are very engaging, helpful, friendly and professional.

My aunt and uncle have been there for three and a half years and I haven't had any issues, management has responded to any concerns I've had. My aunt and uncle are very pleased with the dining and the staff is always personable. My aunt is always engaged in the activities, they had me join in on an activity before. The transportation services go very well and the healthcare staff maintains constant contact with either me or my sister and we appreciate that.

My mother never complains about the food, ever. She loves the people in the kitchen. They are very interactive. The apartment is great. They are good about getting her trash, she has incontentent issues so it can smell pretty bad and they are good about that. I never have anything broken that hasn't been fixed. They are on it. They just had a full renovation last year, painting and carpeting. The flowers are always well-kept out front. It's nice. As far as the medtechs and nurses, they are wonderful people to work with.

I chose this community for my mom because I liked the size of the one bedroom apartment, all of the staff has been very friendly, the place looks very clean and the residents that I've met seem happy. Management has been very helpful in getting the process taken care of. The healthcare staff has been very friendly and very helpful. My mom seems to be very happy with them. There is a nice variety of activities offered. The building seems well maintained. The housekeeping and laundry service has been very good. They seem to do a good job with the laundry and the apartment is always clean.

We really liked that this community offered the ability for our parents to stay together. This was the only community in the area that did that. We also like that it is right next to the library because our father is an avid reader. Overall, management does a pretty good job and they try really hard. The staff in the kitchen and dining room tries very hard to be accommodating and for the most part the food appears to be well prepared and nutritious. I think the activities are okay. They are always doing things there and bringing different people in to entertain them. That seems to be pretty good. Housekeeping does pretty good on the laundry. They pick it up regularly and get it back to them on time. Maintenance has been doing a lot of upgrades and it is a lot better than it was a year ago. They replaced the windows and that has been a big help. Every year we noticed we needed to put plastic around the windows in the winter but since they replaced them my father has commented on how nice it is. Overall this community has been very good to our parents.

I think the management does a pretty good job. I know Chris DeCorley pretty well. If I need something she is usually able to make it happen and if there is an issue she is able to get it corrected pretty well. Housekeeping does fine. They keep his bathroom clean. They do a good job. I visit a lot and when I am there everything is clean and I appreciate that. The people that drive and provide transportation are wonderful to the residents. What I really like about Morningside is the size and scope and the personal interaction that they have. They are sized at a level that it is a good fit for someone who is confused most of the time and that is comforting to him. It is a warm cozy place to be. Everybody is professionally nice and personally nice to people. My dad knows that everyone has a good word for him. Everyone is so kind to him.
