North Shore Place

Management has been very helpful and they resolved any questions or problems very quickly. The woman who runs the activitites is very happy and engaging, the group seems to have such a good time, my mother enjoys it so much. Everything always looks clean and very nice, maintenance did a wonderful job. My parents are very happy there and the people seem very happy there.

We toured a few different facilities and quickly learned that North Shore was at the top of the food chain. We are very pleased. The big picture is she is very safe, secure and seems to be adjusting very quickly. We are very pleased with her room design. We picked that one in particular and waited for one to become available. The people that we have been dealing with in management so far have been very attentive and supportive. We have had a few minor hiccups but they have been handled very quickly and professionally. I would say it has been a very good transition for mom. The dining and food is excellent. My mother loves it. She has loved it since she went there to visit and it hasn't let us down. The activities offered seem to be excellent. The building seems to be in excellent shape. They were very quick to assess a problem in her apartment and make a repair. The system and the service from transportation seems to be excellent. The care staff has been very attentive in helping her adjust. It has been great. I especially like that they have the same staff on the same floor each day so the residents get used to and acquainted with them. I think that is an excellent plan because as they age it is hard to adjust to new people all the time.

I think the value is pretty good, the price is fair and mom gets pretty good services. Her apartment is good for the money, it's nice. I think housekeeping does a good job. We get cleaning a few times each week, it seems to be good. Whenever we have problems the maintenance guys seem to get to them in an orderly amount of time. Mom gets excellent care from the nurses and care givers and they're always prompt and stay up on it pretty good. I think the management has been pretty good. I haven’t had any problems. I think they have a good selection of different activities. They keep the residents occupied and it changes a little occasionally. They have been pretty good. It's been well-sorted menus and pretty good food. The servers seem to be accessible and prompt, I think that's been good. It's a nice clean setting and the people there are loving and caring. I think it's a good place for people in the latter years. I tell people about it all the time.

They seem to plan activities pretty well there. They keep them occupied. Housekeeping is generally good. The care givers are attentive to my mom's needs. In general, things have gone as well as expected in this type of situation.

It was just the right environment for my mom, the setup and feel; it just seemed like the right place. Management is great and my mom enjoys the food, we have a meal there every other day and it's good. I know there's a multitude of activities and my mom is going to one or two every day which tells me they're pretty good. The dining staff has been very helpful to her and the healthcare staff is great, so far it's been an amazing transition so we're very happy.

We checked out all the available Memory care communities in the area and North Shore was the nicest and best choice for mom. Management is good, dining seems nice, and mom enjoys the activities. Her room always seems clean and the building looks very nice. So far the people are very nice, the care givers. The price is fair for what services mom is getting. It is early, but we're happy with how things are going.

My aunt lives at North Shore place and I think the services at the community are good. The healthcare staff always come consistently with her medications and they call with any little incidents or discrepancies that happen, plus they're respectful and knowledgeable. The building always looks clean, smells fresh, and there is someone there every day to help with maintenance requests. The housekeeping department is doing a great job and the community has good activities offered for the residents. In terms of management, they have always been respectful, knowledgeable, accessible and responsive to her needs. Regarding accommodations, my aunt is in a 2 bedroom, so it's a little bigger than most and she was lucky to get it. In general, I like the layout of the place and think it's very cute, so it's been a pleasant experience for her at the community.

This is the greatest thing we've ever done for my mother, it's expensive, but in terms of her care and wellbeing at this point, we made a terrific choice, we are very, very happy. Any time we've eaten there it's been lovely and the parties we have done there is terrific. I think the activities are great, I think they're very age appropriate; my mother is much more active than she was living at home. The place is very clean, it does not smell, my mother's laundry is beautifully done and put away. The MC Director Justine Barton and the nurses are terrific, they're devoted, they call me for anything, and the CNAs are lovely. They're kind and caring people, I think they're wonderful and terrific. Everybody on the Memory Care floor is just wonderful, it's really a top notch facility and my mother is thriving there. We love North Shore Place, I have relationships with everybody.

I think the management staff are very attentive to people's needs. They try to address the concerns pretty quickly. I think the food is really good and my loved one loves the food there also. I think there is a good variety of activities. I have never seen it out of sorts when I have been there. Overall they do a really good job.

The staff is really nice and friendly, everybody is, and I’m really pleased. My parents have enjoyed the meals and they do all the exercise classes which have been very helpful. They also enjoy the games in the afternoon, the movies, and the brain teasers in the mornings and the newspaper classes, so that's been going great. My father has used the transportation services which I really appreciate; he has gotten rides to his doctor’s appointments which has been super helpful. It's been a fabulous fit for my mom and dad, I've been recommending it to many of my friends, and I’ve been encouraging them to look into North Shore Place.
