Northglenn Heights Assisted Living

My mom loved the food and the transportation services were pretty good. During her time there, there were a couple things that broke and they got them fixed pretty quickly. Overall it was a good place, there were just a few times we had the issues. For the care she needed at the time it was good compared to other places.

The value at Northglenn Heights is excellent and it's been pretty good to the resident. He doesn't complain about the food and he participates in whatever he likes, never complaining about being bored. He can still get up to get on the bus and go to Target, so he keeps himself very busy with activities and the transportation services have gone well. He schedules things himself, so I'd say it’s a very easy thing for him to do. As far as the housekeeping, someone does come in to clean his apartment and the bathroom is kept clean. Maintenance does a great job with the landscaping and it always looks really nice, so it's been pretty good. He likes all of the healthcare staff, so overall I think the resident is very fortunate to be living there.

I did meet the Executive Director and he was a nice guy, he seemed like a nice person and was responsive to the questions I asked him. When my dad fell somebody got to him quickly and everything seemed fine. They were nice and seemed to treat him well, they were jolly, attentive and gave him his pills and everything. I think it's a nice place and if I was well enough to clean up after myself I would live in a place like that.

In terms of care at Northglenn Heights, they did everything well. I had a good housekeeper. The maintenance man Mike was good as well. Anytime I asked for something he took care of it. I used the transportation service to go to Black Hawk and do different things.

We looked at ten other places and this was by far the nicest of those ten, the people we've dealt with have been very helpful and knowledgeable. The care staff have done really well with getting her what she needs and being knowledgeable.

My dad gets good care there. He gets three meals a day and they make sure he eats and gets up to walk around. The community has a really good chef and every time I see the plates the food looks really good. The dining room has a good menu variety. Maintenance responds very quickly if something breaks. In terms of care, so far the new staff has been really good.

I think Northglenn Heights is a very good value and her room is very good, the staff is very caring and they communicate really well with the families. Whenever you have a bunch of people involved, it's hard to reach perfection, but I think they're all very caring and the training getting now is very good. The Nurse is very good with communicating with me personally and being the long distance family member, I appreciate that a lot. The med techs contact me whenever there is an issue at all and if my mother ever gets hurt, they're always very good with communicating with me. The dining is good every time I visit and the activities are good, they do special events for Veterans and holidays too. The maintenance man is very good and very responsive with anything I ask him to do, specifically repairs and that kind of stuff. The transportation service offered has taken her to the Dentist on a few special occasions around spring, since I am out of state, so the community really goes out of their way to be helpful. Overall, it's been a good fit and they're doing a great job.

For what my dad's needs are, I'm really happy with how we've been treated. The times we've been there there have been activities going on and we're pleased that it's available for my dad if he wants it. The housekeeping staff have helped keep him uncluttered and the place always seems clean. As for the healthcare staff, they seem to come in frequently and they've been very accommodating to what his needs are.

My father lives at the community and I think the management has been very helpful and informative. The healthcare staff has been doing a good job. He seems to always be active when I'm there, he's not just sitting in his room.

We were satisfied with the services and accommodations provided to my mother when she was Northglenn Heights. Management was good, she liked the food and activities were there if you wanted to go to do them. We were satisfied with the apartment cleaning and anything that we asked the maintenance department to do, they were quick about it. Regarding her care, the staff knew everyone's names and their little quirks, so they were just so nice and they genuinely cared. In fact, the whole Memory Care unit was outstanding. It was the best group of people for that group of residents, so I can't compliment that whole unit highly enough.
