Orchard Park at Southfork

I appreciated management letting me know about the programs they had available and them letting me know what he was doing on a regular basis. The staff tried to encourage him to do the activities and the outside of the building was nice and clean. The caregivers did engage him and spoke to him quite often. Every time I was there someone was always talking to him. They get to know the residents and call them by their names. That spoke volumes to me.

They do pretty good with the activities. They have bingo three times a week. I think the majority of the residents really enjoy that. I know there has been a change in the activity director and we met her the other night at dinner. Her name is Laura and she seems really nice. She says that she is going to be implementing new things for them to do. I think that is good. The maintenance man that I know there that is in charge of everything works nonstop and does a really good job. The care staff are real attentive when they come in. They are very good with her and are very friendly and does everything she needs help with. They have her ready by 8am to go down to breakfast. They do well on that.

The staff are eager to help and follow through. I couldn't ask for any better. The caregivers are excellent and treat everybody like family. They are very warm and attentive to the resident’s needs. They call me if they notice something. Transportation is always there for him and maintenance is so receptive. The building is very nice, clean and inviting. It is a wonderful atmosphere. My brother’s room is always very clean and housekeeping does a great job with the laundry. The food is wonderful and everyone is friendly. Management always does what they need to do. If I contact them they are always available and open to what I suggest. Everything in this area is basically priced comparably but I have found that the services, staff and the whole community here are way above any of the others in the area.

I know they're always trying to do a better job. They have a high level of certification, they have a high level of expectation and I feel comfortable and confident that they're going to do what needs to be done in caring for my mom. They're giving a level of care and service that is needed and it's a fair cost that they're charging us. I never see the apartment un-kept and I know housekeeping comes in there every day to clean it up. Every attendant that has come in to help my mom has been very cordial, respectful, well-mannered and has done anything my mom has needed. Their approach and their bedside manner has been excellent.

I chose this community for my dad because it was recommeded to us by a couple of friend's parents that live there. We also liked how many employees were walking around in the hallways and were helping people, that attracted us. Management keeps me informed and I really appreciate that. I haven't heard my dad complain about the food and I think it's cool that if they just want a hamburger or grilled cheese and they don't want the full lunch or dinner, they have options. They have different activity options for different people. My dad is big into gardening so he's looking forward to helping with the spring and summer gardens. My dad has Parkinson's and it's very important to get his meds on time and they do a great job there. I don't have a single criticism about the care, it's all been very good.

It has been almost a year since my dad moved in and I think the food is very good, it's quite tasty and smells wonderful every time I walk in. My dad likes the food and eats really well, there seems to be pretty good variety. I think their activities are great, he loves the outings. Maintenance is very prompt and I love the care staff, they're friendly, kind, patient, and forgiving. They're just very patient and kind with him, every one of them, I've never seen them be impatient or unkind to any of them. They are always quick to respond, I can call them any time and they have always responded. They're very good about calling me with any issues, they're always very kind and patient with me as well.

The price is fair and my mom's apartment is very good. Management takes care of people the best they can and the activities are great. They have a lot going on and they keep the residents busy. Her apartment is clean and the maintenance is good. During Hurricane Harvey, it flooded in there but they worked really hard to get it fixed back up. Transportaion is good and the caregivers are great; they take care of the residents and make sure they get their medicine.

My loved one is well taken care of by the care staff. The food is fine and it is presented well. They have more activities now than they used to, that has gotten better. I think the cleaning is okay from what I know and I would say maintenance is good.

They are very efficient. The management is respectful and friendly. I haven’t eaten there but my husband does everything but lick the plate. I have been there at lunch time and it smelled and looked very good. The service is very efficient for dining as well as for maintenance.Regarding activities, they do take them out on an outing every Friday which he enjoys.

I am very satisfied with my mother's stay there. If I see new people looking at the place I tell them it is very nice. The food at this community is good and Grant, in dining, is a great guy. They have activities and go out to eat once a week. The activities lady is a very nice person. She has a lot of activities for the residents. I like Robert the maintenance guy. He is a super good guy. The caregivers are all very nice. Monica is the head nurse lady and she is always pleasant.
