Orchard Park at Southfork

This community was affordable and in my aunt and mother-in-law's price range. I feel that they are in a nice community for the price. Management is very friendly and helpful. When they do respond to us, we usually get what we asked for. From what they tell us, the food is good for the most part. The staff is trying to get my aunt and mother-in-law to participate in the activities. The housekeeping and laundry has been fine. When we have visited, everything seems to be clean. The maintenance man, Robert, has been real Johnny-on-the-spot. He is really trying to make sure that everything is how they want it. The building is very nice and we are perfectly fine with the care. The staff there is very nice and we have been treated very well.

I moved my mom in becuase they had a special going on in November. I really liked the staff and she was able to take her cat. The staff there all seem to be patient with you while you learn their procedure. The food from dining is good and there are plenty of activities to participate in. They housekeeping and the laundry are just fine. They have a sign up telling you what day things are done on. She has had the maintenance do some things and they have done what we ask. The building is like walking into a resort. They have it decorated really nice. It has a very pleasing appearance. We are definitely satisfied with the care they provide to my mother. It is very good and they really try. Overall, I definitely feel like she is in a good place.

Orchard Park of Southfork is a great place because it's not too far from me and since it's a small community, they can give great attention to the residents, so it's just a blessing to be here. It's just perfect and it's worth it because you get your money's worth. I have never had a problem here, anything that I request for my mom, it's always taken care of by management. Every time I go, she cleans her plate, she enjoys the activities and her room is clean. If anything is wrong and I ask about it, 2 minutes later it's taken care of by housekeeping services, so it's just perfect, including her laundry. The community itself is always nice, clean and smelling nice, I love it. The healthcare staff is responsive every time, so they're just perfect and that's coming from me who is hard to please. Overall, I am happy with the staff and just anybody, I thought housekeeping and maintenance services were giving me special treatment, but they give it to everybody. They just make everyone here feel special and I love it.

I think it is a great place to live because they try to incorporate it like a family. The dining is good. They know my moms special diet and I can always bring in special food and they will give it to her and make sure she eats it. I like the dining where they have the home style meals where everybody sits around and eats their meal together. They have plenty of activities. They don't try to push her to the point where she wold get aggravated and I like that about them. They try to coax her to come back in and work with the other stuff. I think they do a good job of keeping the apartment clean. I think they keep the building up pretty good.

I love Orchard park of Southfork, everybody is nice. In the big picture, they were awesome and the place is beautiful. Management is knowledgeable, the dining is great and the housekeeping services were good. As far as maintenance, it's probably the most beautiful place that I have seen and the healthcare staff takes good care of the residents. Sometimes as a child, you doubt yourself, but I know that if I ever get to that situation of Assisted Living that I would go there, so I'd definitely recommend the place.

When we looked a couple years ago, we saw other places more or less expensive, but this was the nicest community we looked at. That was important, that my uncle be somewhere that's clean and well-maintained, and it's a very good value for the money. It's a fair price. The apartment works for him, it's a nice layout. The building is always in shape, I've never seen any issues. The caregivers are very nice, staff is all great, and they’re good at following doctor's orders. From what I've seen when I visit his apartment is clean and his laundry is done, the housekeepers do a good job so no issues there. He's comfortable and safe, and we have had little issues, but nothing that would keep me from recommending it. It's a good value.

I think all of these places are expensive, but they do a great job with my wife. The care staff does a good job of making sure she is clean. She is enjoying the food they are preparing here. She enjoyed the trip they took to the air and flight museum with the activities department. She is very proud to show off her clean room to me after the housekeeping team has been in to clean.

My mother is very happy there, it's very competitive with everything we looked at before placing my mom there so based on the service that is provided and how well the facility is kept, I think it's a very fair value for the money you're investing. I visited a lot of facilities before we placed my mom there and not all of them were super clean, I've never seen that at Orchard Park, everything is kept very clean, I just think they do an excellent job. The management staff has always been very professional and courteous and the healthcare staff have always been very responsive. All the activities seem to be great, the opportunity for all the residents to be able to make field trips and get out and do things, as well as the activities go on within the facility, they've all got the opportunity to be busy all day so that is good.

The activities at this community are fine. My mom does the painting and she really looks forward to that. Housekeeping seems fine and anytime we have mentioned a problem to maintenance, they have taken care of it. This community just went under a remodel. The caregivers at this community are always there when I need them and they are there when she calls them.

We recently chose Orchard Park of Southfork and are satisfied with the services and accommodations provided to my mother. Management have been great and took care of most of my concerns, the care is good, the dining is fine and just me walking around, I was intrigued with the Nurse playing Hangman with the residents, so I like what I see because they have all kinds of activities going on for the residents. With regards to cleanliness, the housekeeping is fine and the community is beautiful so we're satisfied with the consistency of service.
