Palms (Gardens) of Lake Spivey

My mom and I went to several communities and we were surprised at the difference in price, some were shocking, they were way more than what the Palms is. There was more room available in the apartment, a kitchen not a kitchenette, and it was more of an apartment than a room. It also has a better community feel and residents are out doing things. Maintenance set up the cable and we had a minor issue and they came right away. If you put in the work order they are very quick to address it. The Palms looks very nice, very well-maintained. I have been very pleased with her care. She needs minimal care, but they are great. She gets help with her baths three times a week and they handle her medications. She doesn’t have to worry, and I don’t have to worry. The managers have just been very open to speaking with us when we have concerns. They are always there and address them. They are personable and make a point to go and see my mother. We've eaten with her several times and we've been very pleased with, and she's been very pleased with the food. They keep us posted one when activities are going on so mom can make plans. It's very well done, there's something going on all the time. For the amount of time she's been there housekeeping has been very consistent with laundry and cleaning. They are doing an excellent job and are very nice and kind. We've only been there a limited time, but so far our experience has been really good. We're extremely satisfied, very pleased, and we feel we're getting more for our money.

We moved my parents in becuase we had friends who have parents in there. I think it's very good for what you receive, I always feel safe and secure, the meals that are provided everybody says are so nice, I think it's a good value. Everybody is just so nice and helpful, it's just a pleasure to talk with them. From what my parents say, the dining is very very good, they've complimented the service numerous times. I know there are lots of activities and the cleanliness of the community is good, it's very clean.

My mom moved to this community because I wanted to find somewhere she could live by herself but still being surrounded by a community. I prayed that God would lead me to the right one and he led me here. My mom loves it here and is so happy. She would have been paying much more if she was in her own apartment. I think the pricing is good and the management is fine. She signs up for the outings and they take her wherever she wants to go. Maintenance hung her curtains and TV. They have done anything that she has asked them to do. The building is perfect. She has no complaints about the transportation and it is making my life so much easier. This community has everything that you need. It is a good community.

I moved my father in because I liked the building; the setup is nice and open. It's much more attractive than the other communities I visited. It's very clean and the people there are very friendly. Considering market average, the value is good, and that was another one of the reasons we chose the Palms. I like the manager I was dealing with, her name is Kim. I guess she is the sales person. She is very friendly and very sincere and genuine. Housekeeping has been good. They are doing a good job, they do what they're supposed to do and they come in regularly and take out the garbage. If I do have any issue maintenance comes pretty readily within the day. My father’s care has been good. I am just glad there is a place like the Palms in our community.

My uncle was moving in there and my dad liked it so we liked having them close together. Management is just approachable and easy to talk to. As far as I know he hasn't had any complaints.

I chose this community because I liked the staff and the people around here. The servers in the dining room are good and so are the activities. There are a lot of activities offered at this community. The cleaning of my apartment is good and the building is kept clean.

This is close to where I used to live and my daughter lives, I came over here for the security. The management has been very nice, cooperative, they walked me through everything and told me about the community, they've just been very helpful and try to assist you if you have a question. There are plenty of activities and they take us to church, the drivers are very, very nice and considerate. I feel very safe here and I think it's fair for all you get, the transportation, the food, the housekeeping, and activities this is a very good price and value.

I did a tour and fell in love with the place. People were very nice and friendly. I am really happy here. I am pleased with the food from dining. I am happy to not have to prepare it for myself. The staff is always happy to serve you and see that you're satisfied. The management team is very prompt. You want something done it is taken care of almost immediately. Things have been taken care of to my satisfaction. The driver from transportation is very kind to wait when your appointment runs late. I think the value is incomparable to others. I can't wait for my friends to come down and visit so I can show them what all I have been talking about.

I really love my mom's apartments. It is really nice. She has her own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The food from the dining department is excellent. It is really good. I was shocked myself, because you don’t think places like that have good food but they really do. At lunch they have 2 meats and 4 vegetables, at dinner they add soup and salad. When mom goes to activities she loves it. The building inside is spotless, it always smells good. I am very pleased with the care my mom receives here.

My wife and I moved into the Palms at Lake Spivey because it was close to where we live and we needed a place that didn't have many stairs. There are plenty of activities offered at this community. Housekeeping has only come once so far and they did a very good job. It's a very safe environment.
