The Pines, A Merrill Gardens Community

The manager is really good at his job, and being able to manage a place like this is incredible. His staff is just as good. Everyone is so friendly and they all love each other. The service in the dining area is fantastic. All of the servers know our names and do anything extra they can do for us. There are a lot of activities there, and they are great. It is a really pleasant place to live.

It is a nice place. The management staff are helpful. The servers with the dining department are good. The housekeeping is excellent.

Management is open, always available, and helpful. They always listen to you. If something is important, they get it done. The dining service is fine. The housekeeping is incredible, and the maintenance is really good. When you ask them to do something, they have it done usually within an hour. The building and grounds are well maintained. You have to be out of your mind not to find something to do here. The value here is great. The staff that works here is fantastic and some of the residents are really fun. They make it enjoyable to live here.

The building always seems to be really clean, and the railings are not damaged and are touched up with paint. If there have been any maintenance issues, they immediately address it. Everything seems really clean. The activities are pretty good. The personnel makes it worth it.

The food was fine. They took him to activities in his wheelchair. His apartment was clean. The caregivers cleaned my husband up and washed him. The care was okay. The price is in line with others of that kind, and his apartment was excellent. Billy, Karen, and John were extremely caring and accommodating. We really liked John, the manager, and his assistant, Karen. They are lovely.

Overall, I think the staff is genuine, super caring, very positive, very willing with work with peopl,e and accommodating. The grounds are very well taken care of, and it is a lovely place. The maintenance has been very responsive. I think the activities are pretty well established for most residents. Ashley and Clair are amazing, and the other dining servers are good as well. The management is really willing to work with us.

She's happy there so that makes me happy. It seems to be competitive with others places. I've been to a couple other places who charge more. I think you guys are really fair there and I'm happy with it. The apartment is nice, we got it equipped very well. Everything seems to be going smoothly. It's operable, comfortable and warm and that's all that counts. I know mom enjoys having lunch and dinner there.

The activities staff does a good job. Most everything that they do seems to be fun and lighthearted. It makes them laugh, and it is in the time period to their age. The housekeeping is great. They keep the place looking awesome. I like how the maintenance staff keeps the whole facility up, and they say what they are going to do and they do it. The transportation service is great. They take my mom where she wants to go, and there are never any issues with that. As far as my mom is concerned, the price is pretty fair, and that is why we picked it.

My parents seem to enjoy it. I have visited a had meals with them a couple times. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. There seemed to be a full blown menu, and it had lots of options for them. Mom is happy with the card games, and Dad does the movies in activities. They are busy, and that is what I like. Everything is nicely maintained. They even have a little garden area outside their window. The other day, they slept in, and the care staff got concerned because they haven't seen them breakfast. They came in to check on them. That stood out to me. There was an issue with teh cable TV being set up when we moved in, but the maintenance team jumped on that right away. Management has been accommodating. They were willing to work with us on out needs. During the tours, this was the community that made them feel it was vibrant and welcoming.

I just think my father is alive today because he moved in there. If he was home alone we would have lost him. He is flourishing, healthy, socializing and eating. They have added another five years to his life I am sure of it. I think if my father is happy and when I come to visit I can't find anything to complain about that reflects on the manager of the place. He is healthier now and has gained weight so he is eating well.
