The Quarry Senior Living

I find it very pleasant here. I like the idea I have a separate living and bedroom. I have a little alcove where I can look out of the window. I brought a few pieces with me and it is really starting to feel like home to me. I have been very pleased. I have told everyone that the food here is very, very good. There are a lot of activities offered and I don't think I will get bored here. I like how clean they keep everything here it was one of the things that hit me when I walked in the front door. Everything seems to be available to me and everyone is real nice.

My apartment is very nice, I like it. I am on the fourth floor so I feel very safe. I am glad to have housekeeping. I have a washer/dryer in my apartment and do my own laundry. On my weekly housekeeping day they clean and wash my linens. If there is a problem I call and the maintenance guys come take care of it. It’s as soon as possible they respond. I am proud to invite people to visit and they are glad to come, especially if I treat them to a meal. The dining is good, very good. The front office is doing a good job. I put in my requests and they handle scheduling transportation. I am very grateful they have that service. I am happy with what I am paying, and I can’t think of anything I'd recommend The Quarry improve, I am very satisfied.

Management is pretty darn good. The staff is outstanding, always friendly, always helpful and always ready to jump in. Mom loves the staff as much as anything. The best part of The Quarry for my mom is the staff. The dining room menu variety is wonderful and the kids that serve in the dining room are wonderful. Mom also loves the maintenance. My mom uses the transporation occasionally and they're always friendly.

The price is fair. I have been satisfied with all of the departments.

I chose this community for my loved one because of the reviews from other residents that we spoke with and just the services and amenities that were offered. Management has been very friendly and informative. They've obviously done this before so management was able to answer questions we didn't know we even had. My mom has only been down to the dining room twice and both times she's had a good experience. The activities calendar is in my mom's mailbox and it's also posted around the building.

This community was chosen for my mother because we felt like it was the best variety of amenities and the price was in line with what we could afford. It is also a good location for us. I feel like we have definitely gotten what we asked for. Once she gets really settled in she will be really happy. I speak to other residents there and am told how much my mom is going to love it. It is a very safe community. They lock the doors in the front at 7pm. It seems like they are really trying to protect the residents. Management has been really good. I saw a lady from management, in the hall and asked her some questions. She is always forthcoming and answers my questions. My mother is very pleased with the food. She had trouble at first in going but she is now taking at least two meals a day in the dining hall or the café. She says she likes the food and it is well prepared. The staff has been really wonderful. They have some nice young people working as servers. They are all very courteous. There is a huge variety of activities. There are various card clubs and things like that. She has gone to the theater a couple times when they have guest singers come in. Everyone really enjoys that. She loves working on the puzzles and goes 3-4 times a week to the exercise gym. The building is very clean. We are impressed with the general areas since they are always clean. My mom always says nice things about the housekeeper who cleans her apartment. She had her name in to have pictures hung and maintenance got to those about a week or so ago. They have been pretty good. She had a leaky faucet and the dryer wasn't working but maintenance got those fixed right away. The building is beautiful. They are really good about announcements and they offer an orientation for new people. If I ask for the staff to do something, they will do it. If I tell them that my mom is having trouble getting to a certain place, they will have someone escort her there. All you have to do is ask for things. My mom got some packages for Christmas and I needed to get them up to the third floor. They gave me a cart to get them up there.

It seems like there are a lot of activities and the front desk staff and the head nurse are awesome. I think the healthcare staff, safety and security of the place are excellent, I have no worries. I know if he pulls the chord someone will check on him, so it's a relief. The public areas look excellent, so maintenance is good. Most people who are aware of the Quarry say it's a good place to be so their PR is really good. Overall, I think the place is excellent.

I think my my mother-in-law's accomodations are very nice, she loves her stove, she says the oven is really nice and big so she can do a lot of baking. She goes to Happy Hour, the grocery store and church with the transportation services and she says that works out well. The maintenance people are there whenever she calls. In terms of housekeeping, Rose is very nice and a good person. Overall, the staff there take care of all of her needs

Maintenance have been helpful, they have always gotten back to me, and the healthcare staff is caring. It seems like the staff is making sure there are activities, there's a calendar sent to my house of what's going on so that lets me know what I can attend, the communication seems to be good.

My mom had great medics, great housekeeping people, great activities people and she didn't realize it until she moved out for three weeks. In this day and age the value was good and she got great care. My mom was so happy with the care she received. Mom takes a 12:30 pill and the staff will even take it down to the car if we're going out just to make sure she has it, they're wonderful. It feels like home to my mom, the building is beautiful. Shannon is awesome and keeps them busy with activities and feeling positive and motivated. They take the residents out to lunch and the bus drivers are wonderful.
