The Quarry Senior Living

We're extremely satisfied with her stay at The Quarry and we are pleased with her apartment since she lives in a space with a den so when family visits, we can make that den into a bedroom. Management is attentive to any concerns that we have, so they are pleasant and very helpful. The dining service has always been good and we're satisfied with both menu variety and quality of food she is receiving at the community. With regards to cleanliness and maintenance, her housekeeper is good and the building looks very good as does the parking lot and grounds, so thus far it's been a positive experience.

This community has a good value and I like my apartment. I have never had anything but excellent response when I have reached out to management for any help. When they have reached out to me it has been reasonable. They are patient, loving and inclusive. It is a wonderful experience. Patrick, in the kitchen, is a doll. I wouldn't give him up for anything in the world. He cares for his kids. He trains them and watches over them like a big brother. He is marvelous with us and responds quickly to any questions, comments or complaints. I hear comments and suggestions but not many complaints. I think that speaks highly for him and everyone else in that department. I knew several people who worked with Patrick in the kitchen to make a special meal plan for them since they were not eating three meals a day in the dining room. The activities department wears me out. It is impossible to keep up with Laura, the activities director. She is so busy and is in everything. If there is some new thing coming up or a new group that is organized she is in the middle of it. That is wonderful. She is terrific. Eric is the greatest bus driver who ever existed. Anita is the volunteer who goes with us most of the time. Everyone has been equally good, efficient and caring. Eddie is my regular lady who does the house cleaning. She is wonderful, caring, anxious to please, friendly and cheerful. She is a pleasure to deal with. Her supervisor cares and wants things to work. She is concerned that we are having our needs met. She is a really nice lady. Robert, the maintenance man, hung my grandfather clock and my paintings. He taught me how to use the AC and the fireplace. He installed my screen door and fan. He has been a wonderful help. He is so patient when it comes to explaining things to me. The maintenance men are all good and the building looks good. The transportation provided was fine. The trips we go on are excellent. Everybody at this community cares about their job, the residents, and each other. Everybody has been very accommodating and helpful.

I moved my parents in becuase it was closer to my house and as far as the cleanliness, niceness of the place and what they have to offer I think it's probably right up there. My parents have said that they really like the main dining room and that the food is really good there. It looks like they offer quite a bit of activities and every time I go there the apartment looks nice. I've gone in there and told the caregivers information and they've taken care of it so I think that's a good thing.

Everyone in this community has been so nice and all of the old ladies love my dog. Jensen, the marketing manager, did a great job getting us all set up and moved in. They have good physical therapy and exercise and housekeeping does a great job. I have a power scooter and it banged up one of the doors and maintenance came and fixed it for free. The building is kept very nice.

Any of the staff that we have talked to have had answers for us and they got them right away. The front office is very friendly. The food is wonderful and the staff is friendly. The housekeeping is right at the top. The first time she came in she asked me what I would like her to do. The housekeeper seemed to be very concerned about that. The housekeeper is doing fine; it is clean and she is very friendly. We looked around and found that the Quarry met our needs well. We also liked that it had memory care and assisted living. We are both happy with the Quarry. We have a washer and dryer; that was a must. The grounds are very nice and very comfortable.

We feel fortunate that my father in law can live in The Quarry. It is one of the top rated assisted living here in the Vancouver area and I think it people and afford it that it is the place to be. We don't have any complaints and we feel the overall management does a good job. They have a wide variety of activities to do here. They clean his apartment on a regular basis and the building itself it exceptionally clean.

Management calls me back when they say they will. They are just wonderful and always kind. My mother goes with Shannon to the cooking class and the crafts class. They do such a good job with the activities. Housekeeping does a great job. They come in and go above and beyond with the cleaning. Everything is cleaned up quickly and maintained. The care givers are remarkable. When my mother is cranky they are still so sweet to her. I think she is quite happy there.

My father-in-law's been very happy there and it's been a great place to live. He really likes the person that cleans his place and says that she does a really good job. He does tons of activities there and he really likes the food. All in all, we really haven't has any complaints. He really likes The Quarry.

It has been almost two years since I made my transition into the Quarry and I think the people in management are very concerned and thoughtful. I plan to enter into the activites eventually because there is a good variety to choose from. I haven't had any concerns with the maintenance here. I'm satisfied.

I think management always did a good job of meeting the needs of their residents. They seemed to have very good communication with the residents about policies and activities. The dining room staff were wonderful and the activities were outstanding. My mother relied very much on the transportation and it was outstanding. I think she always felt safe living at the community and I think that it wasa wonderful place for the time being. We were pleased with having her at The Quarry.
