The Reserve at North Dallas

We're very happy there. We hope we stay there. I would rate the management well. I think that most of them are terrific. They reach out to us who live there and they know us by name, and they seem like they really care. I think the housekeeping does a nice job. Things are clean. The conditions of the rooms are fine. I called the front desk for a work order and I told them what I needed and they took care of it. I think the food is very good, for the most part. We like it a lot.

My mom has now lived at the community for seven years. The dining and housekeeping services have always been good. I think the activities are pretty good. I believe there is a variety. My mom tells me what's going on, she loves the guest speakers. Maintenance is great. My mom's AC just broke and they were pretty good about fixing that. Overall, I'd say it’s a good value.

I've been here since 2006 and I know we have a new director. I'll have to see if I like them, but right now it's okay. The dining, activities and housekeeping are all good. The transportation does try to accommodate you if you have to make an appointment the next day, but usually you have to schedule 48 hours in advance. I've been here a long time that should tell you a lot.

I'm 90 years old and don't participate in many activities, but there are some going on. The room is excellent. I think about three months ago, they cleaned everything, from carpets to walls. I'm satisfied with basically everything that's done. The service in the dining room is excellent. I think the transportation service is good too.

The person who is in charge of the dining room and the chef, they both jump through themselves to serve tasty food. I am in a balance class to keep you from falling down and I quite enjoy it. I have been doing this activity for 4 years, all taught by the same person. There is enough activities being offered, there are lots and lots of outings. I am very fond of my housekeeper. She sweeps, mops and changes my bed, so I like her and I like her attitude. I turned in a work order and they have a system for it to be taken care of. I put a work order to have something installed in my bathroom and they came to did it. The people that are here now work real hard to keep the community looking nice.

It doesn’t matter when there's any issue, the management resolves it. They're nicely reactive. I think the activities have a good variety and quality. The community is always very well-kept, very nice. We've been very happy with it. If there is anything I'm unhappy with, I call Michael, the concierge, and he's right on it. Etta, at the front desk, she's also a superstar. Everybody's been great. We just had a big party for my mother’s 92nd birthday with a hundred and fifty cupcakes for everybody at The Reserve. We are very happy with it.

There are plenty of entertaining activities to keep the residents busy. The food is good. It's just a general feeling that the management team is pretty good. The value is good and I think the price is very reasonable considering what other places charge. I'm satisfied living here.

The value is excellent and I think it's very fair. The apartment is perfect. The management is top notch and they resolve anything that we have complaints about. Recently they had someone come in to play the sax and sing that was nice. Anything we have a problem with, maintenance is willing to help out right away. The grounds themselves are also beautiful, they do a good job. We have no complaints; we recommend the place all the time.

It is very similar in price to other places I've seen. It is a good value. My dad was very happy with the barber. There are probably at least 8-10 dining options. I think that's good. It gives them variety. My dad is lactose intolerant and they've been helpful with that. The chef has come out several times and talked to my dad about stuff. Maintenance did some touch up paint and installed some grab bars that my parents wanted. There was a leak in the apartment downstairs from the air conditioning unit and they fixed that. They've been responsive. I think the staff has been very helpful and very interested in including my mom and dad but they're not pushy. I think it's a good place for them.

It is less than I was paying at a previous place, and I am so glad I moved here. When I came to see the place, in 20 minutes I had made up my mind I was going to move here and I moved two days later. I liked the attention to detail, especially with the sales people. They were friendly and answered my questions. My family was here when we made the initial walkthrough. I picked out my unit at the end of the hallway. I've been very happy with that because it's quiet down here. Management responds quickly to my requests, and I am astounded that they know everybody's name. I am appreciative of how well the dining room is run. The servers are friendly, and they respond to requests. Shirley, my housekeeper, is a gem! She is prompt and very respectful and smiling. I kind of look forward to her coming. The maintenance team is really good! I've had several requests and they have been fairly prompt getting here. I feel absolutely safe and comfortable here.
