The Residences at Thomas Circle

I think Scott in management is just terrific. He's approachable and knowledgeable and maintenance has been good. My mother doesn't participate in the activiites, but there are a lot there. Maintenance has been good too.Overall, we are satisfied for the services for the price.

I live in Alaska, but I am familiar with Thomas Circle and took a lot of meals with dad when I recently visited him this June. I think the food is generally very good. There were several wait staff who knew my father well and what he would want, and were very helpful. There seems to be a lot of different activities for folks to do. Nancy, the Activities Director I've gotten to know over the years and she seems very dedicated and does a good job. The woman who comes weekly to clean my father's apartment is very nice, and does the very limited amount of cleaning that comes with the rent, but she does a good job. Maintenance has been helpful. We pay a fair amount, but knowing what the market is, I feel it is a good value.

I like the courtyard a lot because they have the doggie play days there and my dog has a very good time. Housekeeping is very good, she is very accommodating and she works very well around my dog. There seems to be a lot of activities going on for the residents to do. Management has been very responsive to any special requests and not only do they include the cleaning but the 24hour front desk assistance, they'll call a taxi if you need it, take messages for you and the one meal a day is adequately prepared. I have the comfort of knowing that if I need medical help I just need to press the button or call the front desk.

I was very pleased with this community and they way they provided care for my friend. I enjoyed spending time with him in the dining room which was more like a five star restaurant. The dining staff we very accommodating to our needs. The care team will not be matched anywhere because this place is doing it right. The nurses he had were great, especially the night staff. The staff is doing all the right things when it comes to caring about the residents. You are not going to find anymore caring place than Thomas Circle.

I made a lot of very dear friends during my two years here and they even gave me a very nice party upon my leaving. I had a pleasant apartment with a balcony and a view of the city. I really enjoyed the exercise because it was suitable for my level of movement and I didn't feel overtired afterward. I liked the management. When you had something on your table that you couldn't eat they would tell the staff to change that out for you to something more suitable. I was glad to see they were right on the spot there.

I think the new management team is working hard to get things in order, as well as getting things to run more professionally. Activities are good. My mom doesn’t participate in any. I've seen the calendar and the activities look entertaining. My mom just has somewhat limited mobility. Under this new management Nancy has been good at trying to get my mom out to participate. We have had a few issues over the course of two years, but it's been a good place.

It's a very clean place. It smells sparkly clean. The management staff call me anytime anything happens and have kept up with everything. I have been very impressed with the nursing staff. When I go there, they are very respectful, which I think is great.

I chose this community for my husband because it's a ten minute walk from where I work. From everything I can see the caretakers are very welcoming and caring. My husband adjusted very quickly and I'm sure that wouldn't be the case if he didn't feel cared for. I've been very impressed with all of the care givers. There's quite a few number of activities. There is a good variety and they look to be quite regular which is nice for the residents I think. My husband certainly likes the food, he likes to eat. I was there one day for breakfast and lunch, and I can say it was nice. There was variety and it looked well prepared. It looked quite appealing. I think that overall everyone is doing a really nice job. I hope the positive trend continues.

My mother lived at the community. Since she has been there I haven't had any problems. I'd say it's a good place.

Their understanding for her in terms of payment is deeply appreciated. I will always speak very highly of the residents of Thomas Circle. My experience with the care team has been positive. They seem to be very on top of things. Dealing with them over the years has always been a pleasure. There have been multiple teams that have come in, but all of them have been good. I am very thankful to have come across Thomas Circle; otherwise I don't know what I would have done.
