The Retreat at Sunbrook Assisted Living

I think they have done a really nice job with mt father. The management is very attentive. My dad seems to enjoy the food there. He says that they have a good variety on the menu. The activities are excellent. Dad enjoys all the activities that they have and they are varied. He is keeping busy and he has been happy with that. The room always looks clean and neat and we have been very happy with the maintenance. The transportation has been excellent. They take my dad where he needs to go when he needs to go. They are very consistent with their service. The care staff has been really good. My dad has some problems lately and they have been right there.

Since my mom moved in, the management staff has been very, very responsive and very professional. They have a wide dining menu variety so I think that's very nice and the service is excellent. From what I can see, housekeeping has been excellent and the maintenance is good.

We reviewed the different facilities in the area and picked The Retreat for the obvious reason of it being new and the outside area you can get to from your bedroom. Management is very friendly, they take care of your needs and are attentive. The food is very good. I haven't found a meal that doesn't please me, we've been impressed with the food. Maintenance keeps the building very professional, very clean and very neat. Maintenance is working on the building all of the time to make sure it stays nice. This community has been the best set up for my wife and I.

I toured it on the grand opening and decided then this is where I wanted to be. I am very impressed with the management here. I think they do an excellent job and do everything they can to make the people happy I think they do a wonderful job with the food in the dining room. I am please with the services that I have received from housekeeping and maintenance as well.

I really like the caregivers at the Retreat, I've met all of them. My dad has favorites he really enjoys coming in that are more personable. The CNAs are kind and lovely as well as some Med Techs. I really appreciate that. There are some that go way over that are excellent. Management is friendly and I haven’t seen any issues around the building. It gets taken care of by maintenance. I know my dad really likes bingo, overall the activities are very good. I just wish I could remember all the CNAs that are wonderful. Some go above and beyond.

My mom toured with Megan Williams. Megan has been wonderful, before, during and now. My mom is impressed with the care and the evertyhing she has encountered. They are all hands on. They are doing an excellent job and I have found no fault with them at this point. She thinks the food is wonderful. She is and we are grateful for the transportation and that they are able to take her to the doctors appointments and to the bank. I am very optimistic and I am very grateful that it is so close and so brand new. It is so well managed.

We were totally satisfied with it. We were just very impressed with everything they provided. From day one, the care was excellent. There certainly are enough activities being offered. We paid close attention to the menu and we were very satisfied with that. I think overall the service was very good. My mom was kind of reclusive and took a lot of pushing and the staff worked well with her to try and get her more involved in the activities so we were very satisfied with their efforts in that area. I was just very impressed with them. The first person we met when we were trying to make a decision was Meghan Williams. I think the customer service was outstanding.

It's kind of on the high side but it's a beautiful facility for my mom. I'd recommend it. I think that the management is doing a great job. Dining is good for the most part. They just brought in a new Activitie Director and I can see that is already improving. The people in maintenance and transportation do a good job Heathcare has been good too. I haven't had any major concerns so far.

Overall I think everything is well managed. My mother says the food is consistently great. One of the residents puts on a movie night on Saturdays and she enjoys that. I see the bulletin they put on her board and there’s always 5 to 6 things going on during the day, so there’s plenty of it if you want to do it. Becky has been extremely responsive every time I call and my mother feels the staff is all great people.

I recommend it all the time. They're great and we're very appreciative for everything they do. The Activities Director is fantastic. There's a gal who cleans my dad's room who is so pleasant, kind, and caring. Over and above what I would expect, she's fantastic. Whenever we've needed the maintenance crew they've been very prompt. It's always clean and very inviting. The caretakers are very patient and kind. I'm very grateful for all of them.
