The Retreat at SunRiver St. George

The food service is great and my dad likes the food, they're very nice people there that help him. The activities look great and I think the healthcare staff does a really good job, they care about him, are very respectful to him, and are very kind people coming in so I love that. I think it's a great price, I like where he is and he's very happy so that's a relief for our family, I think he's very safe and very comfortable.

It's worked really well for my mom. I think the food is quite good, my mother seems to enjoy the dining room experience quite a bit, I think their menu is very good and she loves her tablemates. I think the activities are really good and she really enjoyed when she has used the transportation services. They do take care of the laundry there, which is really good. In terms of maintenance, I think they're pretty good, the maintenance guy there has always responded when my mother needed something done. I think the healthcare staff is excellent, it seems like they just address the issues and take care of everything quite well.

My loved one has a nice little apartment and he likes it. I think the management team is very personable and sweet. For the most part I think they really care about my loved one. There are some care givers who are just extra good, but they're all very nice. My loved one says he likes the food most of the time. From what I've seen, the activities are really good, they really try. It's difficult with all the levels of people who need to be entertained. They have holiday events, people who come in to entertain, and crafts. He doesn’t do all of them, but the ladies passing by in the hallways tell him how much fun they are, which is nice. The community is very good about transportation, it's flexible to schedule. Housekeeping is very good with his apartment, and if he has a problem, I call, and they take care of it. They try to work with the problems he's had and take care of the apartment. It is a nice place to live.

The primary reason for moving in was my mother. She is the one that is not mobile anymore so he moved in so she wouldn't be alone. My dad looked at a couple of other places. He chose it because it looked nice and the people were nice Things are run efficiently and their needs are being taken care of. I think there are a good amount of activities. My mom was excited about the movie activity. My dad seemed upbeat and positive about shopping trips. They seemed to be pleased with the activities provided. I know the housekeepers do the sheets once a week and my parents seem pleased. They are being taken care of great that way. My parents were very impressed by the level of service from the maintenance. My dad said it was amazing. The building inside and outside is excellent. The care has been great so far.

I think the value is excellent. We are paying for a better community with a cheaper price than the one my mom was in in Utah. Management has been very concerned about my mother’s well-being. They make sure she is comfortable and taken care of. I have nothing but praise for his community. The food is very good. We went to the Christmas party a couple days ago and it was excellent. This community offers quite a few activities and housekeeping is right on top of things for her. Housekeeping is wonderful. Maintenance got right on hanging pictures for her which was good. The building is very well maintained. They do an excellent job. The caregivers are very friendly and personable. They treat her wonderfully. The staff at this community is doing a wonderful job.

Everything is more than I anticipated and expected. My mom is very happy there and all she says is that the food is so good and the help is good. She hasn't complained once in two years. Garrett, Debbie and Heather in management are really good. The chef is really good and so are the activities.

In terms of value, comparative to other places they are right on with other places. The staff in dining seems to be very attentive to my parents. They know what they like and have things ready for them even before they come into the dining room. They just have a wide variety of activities to participate in. The housekeeping keeps the bathroom very clean. I know they are very helpful with her laundry and doing the linen changes. Every time I go in there the place looks amazing and the outside looks really nice. The nurse is excellent. She is always monitoring their medicines and making sure they are being given on time.

My mom moved into this community because I got a really good feeling when I visited. I wanted a place where I was confident that she would be safe and I got a special feeling here as opposed to others places. I think the price here is very fair. Management keeps me updated and involved. They answer all of our questions whenever we have them. They have been great. She is happy with the food. There is lots of variety of foods and she eats it all. There are plenty of activities and everything is always clean at this community. It is a beautiful place and doesn't have any weird odors. We had some pictures hung up and a TV connected. Maintenance did a good job with that. I am very satisfied with her care. They have done an outstanding job. It has been a great experience so far.

Everything was clean and if there was a lightbulb that went out, Larry would go over and change it, it was just very well done. They had little projects and Debbie is just a marvelous lady. She had them doing projects and had music coming in. It was a good value, it was just perfect.

I checked every place in this area before we chose this community and I think it is the best one in this area. This community has large rooms and a large main area for the residents to be in. Management and the activites are pretty good. The staff sees to the residents exercise. The housekeepers do the laundry and they do it almost every other day. They fold the clothes and put it away. We have had a few issues but maintenance takes care of them pretty quickly. The care is pretty good. The caregivers do a good job. They moved her into a room that is right near the main part of the community so they can just open the door and check on her without having to walk down the hall. I have been promised that they will fill in the gap that I was doing.
