Royal Estates of Wichita Falls

We are most definitely getting the bang for our buck. The level of care is more than where mom was at and at the price we are paying we are very happy. The options and availability of the dining area were big selling points. It always smells good and the laundry has been so far done in a timely manner. The grounds are well groomed and mowed and trimmed. It all looks nice.

We moved my dad in because a lot of it was the personnel that was there; it was referred from a friend of mine who has their parent there so that was a big deal.My dad absolutely loves it, we ask him every day and he says he loves it, he says this is his home. Management is just super friendly, they get back to you if they don't have the answer, if you ask for something, they take care of it right on the spot. They were willing to do anything we needed and the staff definitely tries to get him involved in activities. The dining staff is super friendly and try to accommodate the residents so much, it's amazing.

From what I have seen it is a great place. I am very happy for my loved one to be living here. She likes the food here and is pleased with the housekeeping and maintenance service. She is especially fond of the driver in transportation. I think it is an absolutely great place.

She chose this community to move into after visiting friends that lived here and enjoying the activities with them. They seem to have a lot for them to do. Mom likes to play bingo and go and they take them places. Housekeeping does a nice job. Everything is always so nice and clean. She called me the other night after they had changed the sheets and said they were so nice and had turned down her bed and laid her nightgown on it. She has used Helping Hands a couple times because she had a cold and they were great. She has had her hair done there from the beautician and we liked that she didn't have to go anywhere.

(Antonia Y) My dad chose it because he likes the transportation part of the programs and he liked the person who showed us around, he really enjoyed her. The young lady that showed us around spoke to him, that's what we observed, and she spoke loud enough he didn’t need to ask her to repeat. He appreciated that respect, that's what really sold us. I think he likes the food. He thinks the servers are all very nice young people. There are a lot of activities going on. Maintenance is very prompt, very quick to help with anything that seems not right. I feel very satisfied with the value.(Rojelio H) It's a beautiful place. The big thing for me was transportation. It's a fairly good driver, a fantastic person. I feel absolutely safe and comfortable here. Everything is going very well, people are very kind and respectful, and everything is good.

My mother needed more than what Royal Estates could provide, but they did a great job in all departments. The staff in there were all super sweet to my mother.

My mother started declining needs more care so she recently moved out after being there for a bit. Her apartment was plenty big for her and she was safe there. Her unit was the in the furthest corner, but it was right next to the laundry room and the courtyard. A lot of times she cut cross the courtyard to get to the dining room. My aunt used to live there, the activities are why my mom went there. The things mom could go on were good and creative. They did a scavenger hunt once, I pushed her in her wheelchair. I had fun watching them. She got to dress up for New Year's Eve, and they had the Elvis party. She had a good time and everything. Housekeeping was fine. I didn’t have any problems with them. Transportation was great and the driver was excellent. If he wasn’t available they made arrangements for an outside company to come pick her up and get her back that was great. Most of the staff were nice, in the dining area and everywhere. The ones that were there longer always called residents by name, I liked that.

It's pretty good overall, I'd say. My housekeeper is just fine. She just does my sheets and towels. I haven't really done that much. I have taken part in some of the bingo games and I went to the Super Bowl party. I've done some of the things that don't go on all the time, like the Caribbean trip and I even won the big prize. The managers are friendly. Whenever I see them, a lot of times they will ask you if you need anything or if there is anything they can do for you.

The management staff has been real good and it seems to be managed well. They have plenty of activities. They have stuff going on all the time. They have people come in to do music but most of them are country and western or blue grass. They did have a big band for New Years. They try to get variety. The activities director does a good job. She is real pleased with the housekeeping. She likes the housekeepers a lot. The building is pretty immaculate. It is clean. They keep things painted. Bill the driver is real accommodating and he is a really nice guy. The care givers have been really good. They are really attentive and really nice. I know they have a lot of people to see and they get there as fast as they can when my mom needs help. In regards to the dining service, my mom was sick last week and they were so accommodating bringing foods to her room that she thought she would like. They try to go out of their way to please her. I recommend the community for the value and the cleanliness. It is not as huge as some of them so they don't feel like they are lost in a big crowd.

They seem to have a lot of activities. They have singers come in and perform. They have bingo and trivia games. They seem to have something going on for them most every day. They have church services for them on the weekends which is nice. The place itself always looks nice and they decorate for the different occasions. The guys in transportation are extremely friendly. My aunt uses it and makes a call for them to come and get her. They seem to be real prompt.
