Settlers Park

The people there have always been there to help me out and give me a hand and point me in the right direction. They're very friendly and courteous and professional. verybody there loves my mom. They think she's great, and that makes me very happy.

I am getting value out of the community and my needs are met. The healthcare staff is good and they're here as quickly as they can. The transportation service takes us everywhere, even scenic rides, which is when we might as well stop by to get ice cream. The community is kept pretty clean and there is never any smell or odor from things not being cleaned. We have a good housekeeper that is very helpful. We have the greatest activity lady that bends over backwards and provides 5 activities daily with something for everyone. The cook is trying very hard to meet our needs. Overall, I am happy here and very much content.

All of their activities, laundry and care is great at the community. You could not ask for anything better. The nurse calls me and tells me what they are doing there and they are respectful. The transportation is offered consistently and so are the activities. They take them for outings and have enough in house activities. The management always answers my questions. I am one hundred percent satisfied with the community.

We are really happy with the community. I love the nurses there. Any time I have a question I can call and talk to them. They give me the answers I need and they check on my mom about every fifteen minutes. The maintenance department seems to be right on everything. They respond quick to work orders. The housekeeping is and activities are very good. The activities are great about getting the residents involved. The food and dining is also excellent and the management has been nothing but cooperative with us.

The management has done a really good job putting up with her, and they are very informative. The activities are wonderful. I see my mom participate in all kinds of stuff, and she is on the front page of their newsletter at least once or twice a month. For the things the care givers have to do to deal with Mom, they are doing a great job. They have a lot of patience with her.

I'm very happy with the services. The care staff seems very attentive, and my mother gets her medication on time. They do well with transportation. The maitnenance team is right there when I need them. I think they do a really good job on the building. It's clean and well kept up. They also do a really good job with the housekeeping. I'm very happy with the activities. My mother does not like to be around people, but they've gotten her to go out. I haven't had any issues. The management team is very informative when something is going on with my mom. She feels safe, and I feel safe with her there.

Everyone we have dealt with have been so helpful, friendly, understanding and compassionate, which is super important in these kind of situations. The management is very responsive. Anytime I had a concern or a question, I really felt like they really cared about my dad and my family and some of the issues we were having and just how hard the whole situation has been. The two Laurie's I dealt with a lot were so supportive and understanding. Roger is the main director, and anytime I did deal with him, he was really good and really responsive.The activities department did a really good job, and I was really impressed with what I saw. They try to do a variety of in house activities and with the outings that they do. I have really been impressed with their activity levels. The dealing we had with maintenance was on the move in day and the move out day. The guy there was actually very, very helpful and even above and beyond his duty. He was always very responsive. The care staff didn't just come in and treat him like a number. They greeted him and were very understanding of some of the challenges that he was having. The nurse staff and the nurse practitioner worked so strongly with us as a family between communication and being willing to meet with us. I was impressed. In general, they had a great attitude at Settlers.

We're very happy with this facility. The care staff has addressed concerns, and they have addressed her issues. She used the transportation to go to a doctor's appointment, and that was fantastic. The driver was great and really helpful. With anything we have mentioned, the response from the maintenance team has been within minutes of bringing it to their attention. They've been fantastic. The building seems clean and well maintained. They have a full calendar of activities that they offer. They are very good about having activities to offer and encouraging her to come and be part of it. I think they do a fantastic job in that respect. The dining staff seems to be kind and helpful. The management is fantastic. They're very good and helpful. They answer my questions and get right back to me. They were really great in getting her in there and getting all the paperwork done and checking back to make sure everything was going the way she liked. The front office staff is hugely helpful and always accommodating. They do a really good job. She is excited about her apartment. She said she's really glad she came. She felt like it was home when she walked in. It is cozy and homey and not institutional. We're really pleased. I'm delighted to have her close, and she's comfortable and happy.

His apartment meets his needs. He has no issues. He is comfortable there, and I think the place is secure. I would say the activities are more than adequate. He is very happy with the housekeeping and laundry service. The maintenance staff has taken care of any issues. They take him to all of his appointments. He has indicated to me that he has had no issues. When he has to go, they take him and pick him up. They are on top of the medications. They do knock on his door and stick their head in to check on him, so that is a good thing.

Management is doing really well. They are considerate, and they try to take care of things. They have pretty good activities. Housekeeping keeps her room vacuumed and clean. Maintenance is doing pretty good. The caregivers all seem to be real attentive and considerate to everybody. They make her feel so comfortable and secure that she doesn't want to leave. They really care about their residents.
