The Sheridan at Birmingham

It's a brand new facility, so the building looks really good. My mom's apartment is really nice. For what she needs, it's perfect. On the occasions that I have called, I've gotten quick responses from the management. The price is very competitive with what we've seen in other places. It's clean, and the service seems pretty good.

The transportation service is very convenient. There is always a member of the care staff around for issues, so that's good. The maintenance team has always been super responsive and were very helpful when my mother moved in. They've been great. The building and grounds are always maintained. There is always an activity happening or somewhere to go. I think there is a good menu variety. The management team is pretty communicative with what's going on. They're accessible. There is steady feedback of what's happening and what the status of things are. I think it's a good value based on the combination of care, cleanliness, activities, location, and the whole package.

The food and dining service is okay. Te activity choices are very good. The housekeeping and maintenance services are also very good. Lately, the care has been very good. The value is good, and we are happy here.

The Sheridan has been absolutely fabulous. It works perfectly for her, and is a great location for us. The value is great., and we were very lucky to find it for her. Any time I've had to speak with management, it's been good. The women that work at the front desk there are wonderful. They're so great and caring to the residents and, they know all their names. Maintenance is fabulou., Mike and his assistant did a wonderful job. I love working with Constance in healthcare. She's been great for monitoring everything.

The management is very caring and they respond to any concerns or inquiries that I have. They have enough healthcare staff, and they're responsive. The residents appreciate they're taken to different places via transportation, and they enjoy it very much. The activity people work really hard to give them a variety and keep them active. The communtiy looks to be in working order, and the residents seem pleased with any malfunctions reported on in their rooms. The lady in charge of housekeeping is excellent. Overall, she feels safe and comfortable, and I am satisfied with the accommodations provided.

In regards to the activities, my friend has been doing the exercise program and she goes offsite to cardiac rehab. I think she may have gone to a book club thing. She gets her hair done at the beauty salon and she gets involved in the outside entertainment that comes in. My friend is happy having all of the housekeeping taken care of. They are coming consistently, and if they can't, they let her know and they reschedule. Maintenance seems to be handling things pretty well. The care staff is friendly. They are nice, they are helpful and they treat people respectfully.

Contance was awesome. The building maintenance is very good. The dining staff knows my mom's allergies and her preferences and the food is fresh and good. All of our questions have been answered and all of our needs have been met. I highly recommend that people consider going here.

We chose it because of location, it's a great place to have that type of community. We also loved the staff when we visited. I am pleased with the caregivers because they're very kind to the residents. It's hilariously fun when they bring in music because residents are singing and dancing. The dining is tasty and it is a reasonable charge for guests. They're very family-friendly and you can take your loved one outside, so it's very freeing. Management is responsive and the front desk is very cordial. We're glad we made the choice.

The management has been super nice, all of the staff has been great and they get her out, which is the big thing with any Memory Care resident. Caregivers provide their utmost attention to residents, the apartment cleaning is good and she has everything she needs in her apartment, so we really like it and I call it the Country Club.

The variety and taste of the meals here is good. The maintenance does things very quick, profesionally and is very communicative. I think the value is good at the community. She is in a studio and the design and layout is excellent. I know that because I looked at 12 different places before placing her there. It was far and away the best layout and biggest and best rooms.
