The Sheridan at Chesterfield

My mom and I both liked what we saw so we decided to try it out. Management is really good and my mom has been very happy with the activities she has attended, everything seemed to be well planned on the tour we had. The healthcare staff seems to be doing real well, she seems to get along with all of them. Everything seems to be in order when I go there, I haven't heard my mother complain about anything.

It was the newest facility, all the people who lived there seemed like it was a good environment. My mom likes it, we like it, it's very clean. Amanda helped us move in and we loved her, she's been very good. I thought the food was good; we've eaten there a couple times. They have Ted Talks, they seemed to offer more intellectual activities than a lot of other places and she loves the transportation services.

The whole experience has been wonderful. The people are so positive. They are happy people that work there. It is like a Dream Team, seriously. We are very thankful. We can walk away and not worry. We finally found the right place for our mom. I like that her room is bright and has a nice size window. I love the bathroom because it is handicap accessible so it is handy to get a wheelchair in and out and still move around. You don't feel closed in. The smell coming from the dining room was so good when we first came up there and sat down with mom. She hadn't been eating at her previous community and she gobbled the food up and said it was so good. She is putting on weight and doing great. The building smells nice walking in; you don't get hit with a funny odor. Her room is kept tidy and it is really nice. As for her care, the care staff is always so sweet and we are pleased. They do a good job of keeping them hydrated. She is always dressed nice and her hair is combed. I am tickled.

Overall management does a good job. They respond when I have questions. I think they are good. The servers are good and all the coordinators of the activities are fantastic, especially Trish; she does an amazing job. Maintenance responded appropriately when my mom neeeded something and it was taken care of.

The overall management is really good. They are responsive and they encourage the residents come to them with any complaints. They are very nice and attentive. The front desk people here are amazing. The receptionists are very, very good. When they have activities they are very good. The people who direct them are amazing. Trish and Shirley are very, very good. Everything is always very neat and clean and well attended to. Chris in maintenance is great. They are right on it if you have an issue. The grounds are beautiful and perfect. The bathrooms are always very clean. Transportation has been needed and they are great. The drivers are excellent. Overall, everything is great.

We chose the community because of the fact it was newer and clean, it was a place that would be close to the Villas my grandma was living in, the apartments are beautiful and the maintenance is excellent. I've been very happy with the management staff and the food is excellent.

My sister, mom and I think that The Sheridan at Chesterfield is a smaller community with only about 60 people, but it feels like an apartment complex with its sense of community, so we like that aspect very much and she feels safe there. Management is responsive to needs and as far as the cooking, she has to eat in her room, but the dining staff is good about working with her as far as diet and things like that. The activity staff have lots of variety in their activities, make it a point to engage every resident and while they're mostly in the morning time, at least twice a week they’re doing a fieldtrip out to lunch, Walgreen or something. There is also usually entertainment, which my mother enjoys very much, and even during Christmas time they had people come in throughout the days. The folks in housekeeping are good about knowing her and even though they have their routine, they understand they're coming into somebody else's space. They know where she likes her garbage placed and the laundry has been fine. They also have been very good with providing transportation through their van or town car they provide. She usually uses someone on the weekend to go to church, which was something new that she asked for because she was a regular church goer. Overall, people are trying without disrespecting us or that they're not listening to our concerns or that they're not interested, so we're satisfied with the community and she has met some lovely other residents, including staff.

The management staff seems to be organized and caring. The women that work over there are really good. There are lots of things to do in activities. The building is very nice and it has only been open a year. Everything is still pretty pristine right now. We have been pleased so far with my husband's care there. It is new and clean and they seem to have a good program going on.

The people, the staff really made the community stand out, especially the two girls Amanda and Sue in sales, they were very helpful and knowledgeable and made us feel really warm and welcome. The management is just awesome, we love them, they bend over backwards, the front desk people and management. They've got a great team out there. The food was good when we ate there and my parents have done a lot of different activities. The staff makes sure they participate in the activities, they have a wide variety, there's always something to do. The whole building, the grounds, the building, the décor is good, the color schemes are good, it's pleasing to the eye and pleasant to be there. They have used the transportation and that's gone well. Everybody is very nice and polite to us; they seem to really be on top of things so we're pleased with the care they're getting for sure.

Everything’s been fine; we've not had any bad experiences. My dad's been there since last August or September, and everything's been perfect. The caregivers got some health issues under control and worked with his doctor, so everything is fine there. He loves the food there. It's expensive; my mother was at another community about $1,000 a month less. But this is a newer community and for the food alone you'd pay $1,000 a month more. They have a lot of activities, and maintenance and housekeeping are consistently helpful. I guess the value's good, staff is fine, and everybody is courteous and knows his name. I don’t have a negative thing to say, it's been a very positive experience.
