The Sheridan at Cooper City

For what is provided I think they are getting their money's worth. Stacy is very transparent, honest and open. I feel like I can go to her about anything and they will handle it. The chef comes out and asks how the meal was. He really tries and he will make my mother what she asks for. I am impressed by the variety of the activities they have. The head of housekeeping is an angel. They took the lampshades off of her two lamps and cleaned them because my mother complained that they were dirty. I was very impressed because those were not the communities lamps. Maintenance is awesome and the community is very nice. I never smell an odor. They use the transportation three times a week and it is such a blessing for them to take my dad to his appointments. Sue is an aide who signs for my mother. My mother complains about everybody and she told me this week how she loves her and Sue is basically another daughter to her. It's been just great an I've already recommended it.

My mother has macular degeneration so she loves the musical activities they offer here. The management team is always receptive to any questions or concerns my mom or I have. The maintenance team has been attentive to her needs whenever she has requested assistance from them.

I moved my 99 year old mother into The Sheridan at Cooper City about 4 months ago. We went to a whole bunch of different places and this place outshined them all. I'm pleased with the value and the management has been extremely helpful through the whole process of getting her moved in and everything. Chrissy, at the front desk has been over the top nice. The dining staff has also been super nice. When my mom can't make it in there because she's tired or not feeling well the chef has actually walked the meal down the hall to her room, which is pretty cool. I know my mom is very happy with whom ever is doing her laundry and her housekeeping. The place is spotless. The building is what made the difference for us and I'm highly likely to recommend this community to others.

The management staff are very helpful. It is a diffcult transition when you are taking your parent with Altzheimer's. They made it easy. They were very helpful and answered all my questions and answered my text messages.We chose it because of the people, the cleanliness of the location, the brightness of it. It is new, it smells clean. The food is amazing and my mom has been eating phenomenally well. Music therapy has been my favorite of all. They hire Ageless Grace and Traci to do the music therepy. My mom doesn't really do the movements but she taps along and she sings. My mom came alive with the music. She is being engaged and we are happy. Her room is always clean. The trash is always taken out and they ahve started doing her laundry for her. The grounds are gorgeous and the maintenance men were so helpful during the move. There are some great nurses that care for my mom, like Sean. He is awesome and has all the patience. Everyone is so great and helpful. I have a sense of peace knowing that my mom is being taken care of.

Maintenance was helpful on moving day and moving the larger items. Housekeeping seems to be very satisfactory. The management seems to be good and caring people.

They are very attentive. They really go out of their way to get her to participate which is what she needs. They do an exceptional job. As far as the service they provide, it is very good. The housekeeping is wonderful. The room is very well kept. When it comes to this type of service they are very attentive and very quick. They take her to the Cleveland clinic, church and doctor... there is nothing but praise. Marilyn is exceptionally good. She is very attentive. If there is a problem she will call me or my brother. They really do go out of their way to make sure they take care of my mother.

Any time I go in to talk to management, they are available, and they are accommodating. They always have something to do, activities wise. If my parents aren't downstairs when something is going on, the staff goes and finds them and invites them to participate. There are arts and crafts, outings, on-site musical performances; it's great for the age-range of the residents. When they go out to lunch they take the community bus. The transportation is very good. The nurses and the CNAs are very compassionate and very good. It's an excellent value.

My father has lived at The Sheridan at Cooper City since June of 2017. Although the activities could be more focused on the individual, housekeeping is excellent and the maintenance is very nice and they have been accommodating. My father is now in the Memory Unit and he seems to be thriving, so I am really happy with the care and they seem to stay on top of things. The person who bathes him and does the physical care for him is absolutely wonderful. Despite some of the bumps along the way, it's been a great place for my father so far and they take great care of him.

The value is excellent. The management has been able to help me with whatever I need. Housekeeping is excellent. My mom is always in clean clothes and her room is always clean. Care and nursing is excellent. Everybody has been helpful. They communicate any issues. Nyla, the Head Nurse, talks to me, and we got squared away on vitamins, and she's very accommodating. They're doing a good job and I'm very happy so far.

My mom has been at the Sheridan since June of 2017. She does the exercise every day and she loves that the Rabbi comes in once a week, so I think they have a really good program. The housekeeping is really good; her room is always clean and welcoming. The maintenance department is excellent; they are always responsive whenever needed. We have had a few issues with response time, but other than that it is a great place!
