The Sheridan at Cooper City

I think they try to make things as perfect as possible, and we appreciate that. I am very glad we selected the community. It feels like they're family. I could call the Director in the middle of the night, and I know she would pick up the phone for me. My mom likes them all, especially Bingo and the music activities. She has zero complaints with the dining or housekeeping. JP, in charge of maintenance, is always very receptive and fixes things right away. It's great and I'm glad we chose this community.

As far as activities and providing stimulation for the residents, I think they do an excellent job. The place is good, very well kept, smells good, and looks good. They do a nice job with that. I think they do a good job considering the amount of residents they have to feed. Kinderly gives my mom very individualized attention when she comes over to the table. Overall, I'd say I have been satisfied.

We were looking around for a place to bring my father. Someone mentioned it to us while driving down the street so we decided to go check it out. We liked it. Everything is good. I'm very happy with the place and communication, I've appreciated the staff walking us through and showing us things. It's very helpful. According to my wife, who has been there to eat, the food is very good. From what I see the activities are pretty good, he doesn't really get involved in too much of it. From what I've seen it looks good.

I have lived here now for almost two years. I think the quality of food is alright. Transportation is very good. I haven't had any complaints.

The staff here is interested in the people and the care to be given. We have all kinds of activities. They have all different kinds of entertainment from arts and crafts to volleyball to outside entertainers. If you went to everything you would not have time to use the bathroom during the day. The services and accommodations are as good as they can be. This is the best community I have lived in.

Stacy has so much patience, kindness, compassion and always gets things done. She is very effective while always being professional. I can't speak more highly on anyone. I have been a nurse for 41 years and I have never met anyone in or out of healthcare that I so highly regard. The dining people are wonderful. They really try to reach the resident on every level. They have all sorts of activities: cognitive, mental, spiritual and my mother responds to music. They have live entertainment at least twice a week and she loves it. The healthcare is wonderful. The people that work in her Memory Care unit are exceptional and I find them very kind. They aren't resentful, impatient or rude. Claudette from my mother's unit is wonderful, as is Denise. Everyone should have a place like this.

I think we're getting the best that we could possibly get for my father in one of these places. We’re always going over there at different times of the day and night and he seems to be in great shape and well taken care of. The community itself seems to be very well taken care of inside and out. I think the entire staff team is just lovely and they do take good care of him there.

It's a really well-run organization. When I see the activities on the calendar, I think they all look great. On the pet days, she really loves that. The housekeeping and maintenance teams have been good. I have nothing negative to say about it, and the cost seems to be about what places like this run.

I just know that when I brought my father there he was at the lowest point of his life and ours. I was honest about with them about that. This community and their people could not have been more receptive and nicer to him in response. We are so appreciative. Housekeeping and laundry services are great and my father's linens are always clean. They come in every Thursday and his laundry is always complete, so I can't ask for more. The management team has been kind and helpful and treats my father with care and dignity, which I appreciate greatly.

We looked at a lot of places. My mom's paying top dollar because she needs a lot of hands on care. It's pretty comparable to other places we looked at. They have great activities. I guess she's taking advantage of them now. A new lady took over, she's bringing her along. The activities are wonderful, she's enjoying as much as she can. It's brand new. She was the first tenant in that apartment. Any issues they've taken care of it pretty much same day. The caretakers have been pretty good. I call and email, I don’t live in the area, and they've been pretty responsive. We love it.
