The Sheridan at Green Oaks

The management is very good and I think they do a very good job. Management is very accessible and very respectful. They have a lot of nice activities. The dining room service is good and maintenance is very helpful. The snow removal right now is perfect.

I really like it here and have liked it since the first day I moved in. Management is very obliging and answer all your questions. The food is average to good and the variety is good. The activities are good and they are run very well. The girls are good with the residents and find things that we are interested in. Maintenance is great and the building is very clean.

I'm quite happy here and as happy as one can be when you aren't in your own home. There is a good group of residents here. Management answers any questions we have. They're all friendly and they're right out there in front so we see them often, they're not hiding in their offices. The menu choices are good. Shila is doing a good job in trying to find activities that cover a broad range of interest and she's doing quite well at it. As for overall maintenance, the building is beautifully maintained.

It's really close to my house, I really liked that it was a new facility, it was beautiful and I liked that AL wasn't just one room; it was an actual apartment so it could feel like home. I liked the smallness of it, that it didn't feel sterile and felt like a casual, community home. The building is new, it was built in March. Management has been great; they were really accommodating and helpful. My dad loves the food, we love dining there too and the activities seem great. Housekeeping is fantastic, they've been totally wonderful. Overall it's been wonderful; the aides have been so friendly and great.

My mother-in-law moved into this community because of the services provided and the location. It is expensive but the price is fair. The food is great and the housekeeping has been perfect. The caregivers have friendly attitudes and are competent. They follow through. Everything is great so far.

Management and the nurses have been great, we're all happy; it's really been a good experience. The meal I had there was excellent and I know my mom loves the desserts, those are always good. The maintenance is excellent, it's so easy to get into the bathroom, there's the sliding door, it's very open and she can maneuver easily. Where she was previously, there was an extra fee added to it and here, all of those things are inclusive in the original price we were given in the contract, so I think it's definitely a good value for what we're getting.

My wife and I looked around quite a bit before we moved in a year and a half ago. We were surprised to find the pricing is pretty much the same all over, but this place is brand new, it's nice and bright. The apartment is bigger, the kitchen is nicer, and we have a washer and dryer. Drew, our Director, is available and he is around. He doesn’t just stay in his office. He visits some activities and that works out well. The other managers are very friendly and open to questions. They have a wide variety of activities and do an excellent job trying to start different things. It can keep you busy all the time if you want to do it all. Housekeeping comes in every two weeks, clean our apartment up, it smells great. Maintenance is overworked but does an excellent job. At our move-in they were ready to help and still are any time they can. The value is high; we definitely recommend it to people. We are basically very satisfied and happy we moved here.

I have lived in 2 other places, but for what I get at The Sheridan at Green Oaks for the same amount of money or less, the value is a lot better. It's a new place, which is part of what makes it really nice because I have a beautiful new apartment. I have had so very little trouble with my apartment that I really haven't needed maintenance, but anything like light bulbs is done very promptly. Management is excellent, good friends with everybody and does their jobs efficiently. The sales people are good people as far as marketing the entire place and one of the things I like about them is that they're always very nice whenever you see them. I'd say that most of the staff here at the community are good friends, but it's not to a point where it affects their efficiency. Being in 2 other communities before I came here, this place is far superior as far as the food is concerned, so the dining is good. Regarding housekeeping, the maids do an excellent job with cleaning when they do come, so that service has been satisfactory. Overall, I am very happy to be here. I have been happy here; continue to be happy here and as long as my daughter lives nearby, I will stay here, so I'd recommend it to everyone all the time.

My wife is comfortable there. The Memory Care Director and the Director of Nursing, as well as Drew are willing to meet, are generally positive. There's a nurse doing the schedule and she tries very hard, I compliment her on the work she does. The CNAs do the laundry. Housekeeping, I guess that means keeping the rooms clean, again very good. The community is relatively new, well-maintained, and looks great form the outside and inside. The nursing staff is fine, the CNAs, there are some outstanding ones. I go there every day, help feed her dinner, and she always has a smile. She is safe and seems to be quite happy. I have looked at a lot of other communities, and by far The Sheridan provides better service, a better presentation, and better care.

Looking at the cost versus value I am very happy with the Sheridan. I feel like they are giving you the value for the price. My overall impression of the Sheridan is good. It is in a good location, it is clean, she is safe, and she hasn't had any health issues in the year and a half she has been there. I think Drew, the director, is great. You have to have somebody if you have an issue or a financial issue that will respond. The activities keep her busy enough. I think she is kept busy every day. I think housekeeping keeps it nice and clean. They take pride in how things look. My cousin uses the transportation to go to lunches or plays. They have a good transportation system. I think she is safe and she enjoys going on the van. I think everyone that transports them are all good workers.
