The Sheridan at Green Oaks

I looked at several places and fell in love with the layout of the apartment at The Sheridan my mom moved into a while back. We've had zero issues anywhere. My mom raves about the dining there. She has said service is great, food is great, and overall her whole experience has been great. I know that the people who clean my mom's apartment are extremely friendly and kind to her. She's not a messy person so it's not much to clean. They're very respectful and for what they have to clean, they do a good job. I think mom had maybe one maintenance issue, a minor thing, adjusting the heat, and my mom told me it was taken care of immediately. The Med Techs deliver her medication, and she has no complaints. It's been a pleasure having my mom stay there.

While I think the value is very good, I think it is gaining momentum. I was one of the first people to sign up for this location and I think their growing pains are soon coming to an end. I would say the concept for their activities is outstanding. My husband has taken up painting and he has never painted in his life. The building always looks well put together, neat and clean. I find no fault with it.

As a facility for what they offer and what they do, they are very, very good. On an individual basis, they're superbly supportive of my mom's needs. They go the two extra steps that my mom needs to be comfortable there. The care staff is absolutely superb in serving my mom's needs and being responsive to what she needs. My mom and I are thrilled with the attention that my mom gets from the nursing staff. The building it virtually brand new and maintenance was very accommodating when she moved in. The laundry services are also great. There is a weekly bible study that she participates in as well.

I love my apartment and many of the staff are exceptionally kind at The Sheridan of Green Oaks. The person at the front desk is the most helpful, lovely man who is just so kind to everyone. He really is the face of The Sheridan when you walk in and he is just wonderful. The activities are very good and they have lots of them, so I think the Activity Director is very, very good. Housekeeping services are very easy to have in the apartment and if I ask them to do something, they do it, so I am happy with them and have been delighted to have them. I am satisfied with the condition of the vehicles used for transportation and they hired a new lady, in addition to the man that is here, so now that we have 2 drivers I think it's going much better. Overall, I am happy here.

I think since both of my parents have moved in the management staff have been responsive with any repair needs and any emergencies. They have been great. The food every time I have been there has been excellent. My parents say the food is great. The activities are very good. They offer a nice selection. My parents do some of the exercise classes and some of the lectures and the music The housekeeping is excellent. The maintenance staff have been very responsive. I am pleasantly surprised, overall everything has been really great for my parents.

Overall, they've got good people there. The activities department always has them busy doing something. Housekeeping seems to keep up pretty good. Mom has a couple cats and they do a good job of keeping the carpet clean with them. I have always seen the maintenance staff doing something. I think the building is a very nice place. The aides and nursing staff are very upbeat and nice people that do a good job of dealing with all the different types of personalities.

I think the management is terrific. First of all, they are very caring and very concerned with how we all are and if we are happy. I think they are a good group of people. In regards to the activities, they really try to do a lot. I don't participate in all of them but they are certainly to be enjoyed if you want to do them. I have been happy with the housekeepers I have.

This is by far the nicest facility we toured. It's spacious and very affordable plus my mom gets to have her dog with her. Leslie and Lisa were great throughout the process of getting mom in and they respond right away when I have questions. The food is very good. The move-in service and the painting service were great and everyone has been fantastic. Don in maintenance did a great job and is very nice and friendly. The care is great; they've been attentive and have even been walking my mom's dog for her. This is a great place with great people.

The management team there has been overall great. I've eaten there a couple of times, and my mom says the food is great, the dining room is nice. The servers are a great group of people, very conscientious. I think the activities are great. They keep the residents engaged out of their rooms as much as possible. There's a great variety of activities, it's good. I get a daily email telling me what she participated in, it's great. She’s got a great apartment; it's bright with a lot of windows, very appropriate. She is absolutely safe and comfortable. The nurses and the caregivers they have at the community are fantastic. They're terrific, they're attentive, all have good dispositions, and they're friendly, always willing to help out. There's camaraderie there, good temperament. That is not an easy job. The building itself is always clean and picked up. Every time we've been there the hallways and common areas are always clean. My mom's definitely cared for and looked after. When we're there she is bathed, dressed, happy, well-fed, and is actively participating in activities. I would say yes it's a good value.

We chose the community for mom because of the location and it was a new and nice facility. The care she is receiving has been good. Everybody had been friendly. The staff came in and introduced themselves and have made it a friendly atmosphere. I think it is nice to have a dining room with a menu selection where they can go sit as opposed to using trays. It makes it nicer that way. They do have a lot of activities for her to chose from to participate in. Her room has certainly been clean when I have been there. It had new carpet and been painted when we moved in, it was very nice.
