The Sheridan at Green Oaks

We moved in because I have a few failing health issues. I am still able to live in independent living. The rooms have two bedrooms and a living room and it has a roll-in shower. It was to accommodate my physical requirements. I think it is a good price for the value. They give you food and utilities. They have bracelets so if you fall they will respond. I think that is really good as far as safety. I think the quality of the food here is way superior. The consistency and the selection and the fact that they have chef specials every night is great. I didn't realize that they would have as many activities as they have. They seem to have a good selection. Almost every night they have movies. They have a calendar of events that they go to outside. They clean the apartment every two weeks and they seem to do a great job.

My dad doesn't really do many activities but it seems like they do offer a lot of stuff. He likes that his room is always clean. The guy they have for maintenance is fantastic, he is so nice, I think his name is Edward. He's there all the time and he is just amazing. The transportation is good too; we haven't had any issues with that.

I've been very happy with the Management. They've always been available. They're very flexible. If my dad wants to sleep late they let him sleep late and they let him eat whenever he wants to eat, I really like that part. The activities that they plan are amazing. It's a brand-new community, it's beautiful. He uses the bus on outings and it seems to be okay. I can’t believe they take them all out to movies and things, it's pretty amazing. The caregivers are respectful, nice, and cheerful. I think they're doing a great job there.

I was looking for a community close to where I live. I liked that it was new and clean, as well as updated. I am there a lot and my mom is adjusting, and any questions I have I feel I'm welcome to come in and address them. I feel like management wants to tackle any issues I have. The food quality is good and my mom enjoys it. She has been participating in some things in the afternoon. She is going on an outing which is nice, she likes to get out. She hasn’t needed any maintenance yet. I've spoken with the Director about the air conditioning and how my mom didn’t like it blowing onto her bed. They did come in and change the direction which was nice. The grounds are aesthetically pleasing. The nurses seem to be nice, the aides there are nice. Overall, I am quite pleased.

I think that the price is appropriate. The management is very helpful and they took care of business. They coordinated the transition smoothly. The staff seems to be real friendly. It has been a good place for my father.

I really like that the management staff is very responsive to anything that I have asked. I think my father's housekeeper does a great job. The place is kept very nice. The building is kept up nice. It is a nice place to live and the staff is delightful. They are upbeat and positive. They are the kind of people you want your parents to be with. I have been telling all my older friends that they need to check out this community. When I get to that age, they will be seeing me.

It's immaculate, it's always very clean, and the landscaping is lovely, the patio and furniture is very nice, so they are doing a great job. Housekeeping is good. It's done very well. They keep the residents busy, we can participate in whatever we want, they have an excellent activities person named Shyler that is very good, I like her a lot, and she comes up with quite inventive programs. The staff team there is very good, very friendly and supportive. They come and try to help you with any problems you might have. They come quite favorably, I am happy with that.

I think the management at the community has been good. They put up special sensors in my mother's room because she was falling in the night, so that was good and nice of them. I'd say the value is overall is pretty good. She's in memory care; they are accommodating her with the food appropriately. Overall, I think the community has gotten better over time.

I think they're a good, professional group of people. Everyone I've seen has been kind. It's kept clean; my cousin's room is clean. Anything I've said about housekeeping, they have reacted to quickly, so I think they're doing a good job. I've seen paintings she's done and I've seen the activities calendar and they keep them occupied. Drew Kowalski, the Director, is a good person and responds very quickly. I think he creates the overall value by keeping everything going. We're happy there, she's been there over a year and I haven't really had any issues.

The staff takes good care of everybody. The activities are very good. Maintenance is very helpful. The building is kept up very well. It has been a good place for my husband.
