The Sheridan at Laumeier Park

I think the place looks pretty good, the plants outside are taken care of and the building itself seems to be holding up. My mom loves going to the baseball games and all of the outings, she seems to be able to go where she wants to go. It's been good.

My mother-in-law has lived at The Sheridan for almost one year and I believe the value is good. They have a good menu variety in the dining hall and they always have wonderful activities planned for the residents.

I think my mom is getting what she needs at the community. When I am here visiting mom at meal time there always seems to be really good food. It looks like it has been prepared and smells good. I am impressed that there are a lot of different activities offered for her to participate in. Megan from the care team was great with helping me deal with the hospital stuff the one time mom had to go. I got some good recommendations and some excellent after care help. They have been very attentive to her.

I loved the atmosphere, it was very homey and comfortable. The management staff here are very professional but yet very heart warming. My wife felt very comfortable talking with them. This place gives top notch service to the housekeeping and maintenance duties. Based on what I've seen at other places and some of our friends or their spouses, I would say it is a good value.

My loved one has been at the Sheridan for the past two months and I think everything is going ok. There are plenty of activities, and those seem to be alright. I think that the maintenance of the building has been pretty good and is definitely getting better. I haven't had any complaints in regards to care either. She feels safe now, and that's the important thing.

I think the food is good. There is a good variety of activities. It is pretty clean in my dad's room. If we call on something they take care of it and the building itself is pretty well maintained. I'm satisfied with having him here.

The building maintenance, everything was spot on. It looked great, always. Housekeeping was very nice and they did my mom's laundry and they did a great job with it. We had a great experience with management. They were very helpful, communicative and made my mom feel right at home. It was a great value for what she received. It is very nice, very clean and well worth the money.

Management was just very helpful. The activities are very good and it gets my mom motivated. She hasn't had problems other than she didn't have electric on one side of her walls, but they came and fixed it right away. We liked it here because everyone was very pleasant, the people were nice and it was clean.

The management staff was excellent, attentive and caring. The food was excellent and my father was pleased that they accommodated his requests. Portion sizes were really good. The activities were excellent. They had a lot of different great things. The transportation was great. He loved the driver. He was very helpful and sometimes he took him all the way into the doctor's office where I would meet him. He was so talkative and made my dad feel very comfortable. The care staff was all excellent. There was a new director of nursing this spring and she was fabulous. The way that everybody worked together was great. They were outstanding when he passed away.

I think the price is fair for what is received. I would give Mark, who is head of the place, a perfect rating. When there is a problem he takes care of it quickly, he gets things done. So far I think the activities and housekeeping have been good. We are also happy with the caretakers that help with her medicine.
