The Sheridan at South Jordan

We took my father to three places in the area and my parents were the ones that picked it. The management staff was excellent, they were very informative, friendly, nice to my parents, answered questions and really made them feel welcome. The food has been really good. Everything seems to be well taken care of so far.

My mother had been on hospice and one of her nurses referred this place to me. When I went there, I was so impressed by it that I signed her up right then. I love having the full-time nurse that I can go to all of the time. Housekeeping has been great, they clean her clothes and put them right back. They always have her bed made, her bathroom is cleaned, the floors are cleaned and the whole place is just spotless. The food is wonderful and they make sure she's drinking enough. They really care. Management has been friendly, efficient, covered all of the bases, sat down with us to sign all of the papers and go over in details. The greeting when she came, she just ate it right up. She gets such good quality care here, I couldn't be any happier.

I chose the Sheridan for my mom becuase it was still fairly new and she could have basically a brand new apartment. One thing that stood out too was that she could have a little washer and dryer in her apartment and she really wanted to do her laundry herself. Claire and Miguel, the concierges, are there half the week and both of them are just amazing. They know everything and are able to get help in whatever area pretty much immediately. The caretakers seem to really care about the people and are there when they're needed. She's been really enjoying the food. The staff have been really friendly and listen to questions and concerns. The Activities Director has been great and has been inviting her to all the activities. I think it's been great!

I think the management gets to know the residents and their families. They know your name and who you're with, so you get that welcoming when you come in. The dining room is always clean, and the servers are always attentive not only with my mother, but all the residents. She does go on outings to the local grocery store. She thought it was great. The care staff is attentive, they make sure she takes her medication, and they're like family. They really take care of her. Compared to her prior living situation, it’s improved 100%. I'm just glad she's there.

They just do an excellent job with activities. They seem to try to give them some good activities to do, not a lot of repetition. The management and the dining staff both do a real good job. The caregivers also just do an excellent job. I think it's a pretty good value and the price is fair for what is provided.

The caregivers are great, they have a great staff there for sure and they care. That's why we moved my dad there because of the staff and the care, so it's definitely excellent. I've seen the activities and stuff that they do and it's pretty awesome. That's one of the reasons we chose The Sheridan just because of a lot of the stuff they do stimulates the residents' brains. The management staff was really helpful and friendly. They helped us get him moved in pretty quick. It was originally a referral and it's been great for my dad.

The management staff does a great job and seems to work really hard managing the staff. Cari, the Activities Director, is amazing. Her interaction with so many people with so many different needs is top notch. Curtis, the Medical Director, does a great job. April, an LPN, is very knowledgeable and does a good job. Everybody does a great job relating to people with different abilities. With what we're getting, it seems worth it to us.

Management is always there and they don’t act like they're superior to either the residents or staff. They're very kind and always hands-on mingling with people and willing to answer any questions. The dining room is very beautiful and the accommodations are great and the food is good. Housekeeping is pretty consistent with coming in and I love that they take the trash out every day. Healthcare is so good. They're so kind, loving and always on time with my parents' medication. It's pretty expensive, but for the services they get its fine. The apartment is beautiful and gorgeous. It has an open and positive feeling.

It was the nicest one we toured when looking for a place for my mother-in-law. She's enjoyed going to activities. I think there is a good variety. The maintenance staff helped set up her TV and was great. I think the healthcare staff is doing fine on their side, she's just adjusting. Everything else has been excellent.
