Skyline Place Senior Living

We chose Skyline Place for mom because of location; it makes sense for all the family and friends who visit my mom, as well as the feel of it. One of the big plusses there is the common areas, nice, clean, and well kept. One of the reasons we chose Skyline is there a large calendar full of activities to keep people engaged. She's been some of them like exercise class. They have a cool music activity in Fridays she really is engaged in and enjoys. Mom likes the food, it seems pretty good. Housekeeping seems to have been really on top of things in this short window. The managers have been very responsive. My mom has a challenging situation and they have been helpful and responsive. The care givers have been great. I wouldn’t expect more for the cost which is appropriate. It’s been a good fit and a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend it.

I wanted to be involved with people, to meet friends and have dinners so that's why I chose Skyline. Management is absolutely wonderful people and the healthcare staff is very nice people, they are very willing to help. The food is very, very good; some of the dishes Mark has made have been outstanding. There are always activities to do or some place I can go, and that's what I was looking for when I came here, I love it, I just love it. My family appreciates me being here because they know I'm very happy, so that's good.

We chose this place for mom because of location and reputation. It is a little expensive but it is certainly worth it. The value is worth it. I feel like both my parents are safe there and it is a warm welcoming community. It is like walking into someone’s home. The management staff is very professional. They have engagement with their employees and the residents there as well as the visitors. The food is wonderful. The culinary chef comes out and engages with the residents. You get to order what you would like and I think that is wonderful. They have a wonderful menu. The housekeepers come in and clean and do a wonderful job. They have a nice natural smell when you walk in and not a covering smell of Pine Sol. The furniture is nice and it is decorated beautifully. The care staff is very kind and not condescending. They are beautiful.

The community has a very good reputation and compared to other places I think it's an excellent value. Management has been patient, kind and understanding, I just can't say enough good things. Housekeeping is great; the house cleaner is super friendly, cheerful and accommodating. Maintenance is there quickly for any little thing and my mom comments about how clean everything is everywhere you go. The healthcare staff is wonderful, they all communicate very well and quickly, they're excellent. They've been wonderful, responsive and kind, everything that you'd want your parents to be experiencing, there is no impatience, everyone is cheerful and says hello.

Management is absolutely marvelous, we couldn't have been more delighted, especially Carrie the Executive Director and Valerie in marketing, they're just absolutely outstanding. They actually reach out to us. I'm in Colorado so having my dad far away was concerning but I have nothing to be concerned about, they take such good care of him and my mom too. It's very quiet with a lovely view, he really got a great apartment and I think considering the quality of care and the quality of the building, it's a good value. The chef has taken so much care in making sure it's nutritional and very nicely prepared food, I ate there and was very impressed. The dining staff is very accommodating and the healthcare staff is excellent, if I needed assistance I would live there in a heartbeat.

My mom loves the place. The management is always super. Every time I walk in they say hi and they are friendly. If you have any questions their door is always open. If they know the answer they say they will get back to you and they do. The food is fantastic. Mark does a fantastic job. I think the activities are very good. The housekeeping is very good. It is nice and clean all the time. They come whenever they are scheduled. If you need something special they take care of it. The place is kept up great. If my mom has any kind of problem maintenance come up and fixes it right away. They are very polite and very nice. In regards to the transportation, they take her to the doctor and pick her up. They get her right there on time and she only has to wait a few minutes when they pick her up so it makes it very nice. They are very good. If anything happens or if they foresee anything happening they call me and give me a heads up.

The food is really good and mom and dad really like it. The cook is a super great guy. Housekeeping is great. Mom is picky and she has been really impressed with the way they clean. The maintenance man was really nice. He did fix the curtain rods, he's a good guy. The care givers are responsive and they are all nice and friendly. The price is very much the norm from what I've seen and we’re very satisfied with the value mom and dad are getting there.

I would say Skyline is one of the better ones. We did interview everyone we could and we chose Skyline because it was nice and it was clean. In regards to the dining, when everybody is down there the service seems fine. There is enough staff to make sure the food gets to each individual. I will say that my mother-in-law gets a special meal on Fridays and we appreciate that. She will eat. The activities director that goes downstairs is great. She is pretty hands on. The building looks great. Overall, the care givers are doing a good job. All in all, it's a good place and we are not unhappy.

I chose this community for my dad because it was closeby. Everything is going well. The dining is good, dad's happy with it. I like that they have their own chef, it's not frozen food. Dad seems to be checked in on just fine, everything is going well.

I chose this community for my brother because I heard good things about it and it's really the only game in town. Management has been great. We've dealt mostly with Kerry and Valerie and they've both been very good, especially Kerry. I've dealt with one of the caregivers, Ann or Anna, she was very nice as well. My brother seems completely satisfied with the food. I have not heard one bad thing about the food and I had lunch there one day and it was very good.
