Skyline Place Senior Living

The people seemed nice, the community looked nice, the food smelled good, and it felt nice like a hotel. My mother-in-law had been there before for a two week respite stay and when we went to pick her up she said she wanted to move in. She eats everything on the menu and raves about it, and there is a monthly calendar for activities and a daily menu, it's very good. The managers are very nice and at this point my mother-in-law doesn’t need any care, but the care givers are there waiting for her. Maintenance was great. We moved in on a Saturday, and they said if we needed anything they could provide us. They got right on a cart. Housekeeping and laundry have so far been perfect. I see the cost as reasonable. You're getting three square meals, snacks, an apartment, and the value is pretty good.

The management that is there now are all really good. They care about the residents a lot. They have a ton of stuff going on with activities. The times I have been there mom's apartment is always clean. The med techs are now doing her prescriptions for her and they are all great. There have been times when she had a problem with an open sore they would tend to it and bandage for her. I know they are attentive to mom. All in all, it is fairly reasonable.

I really wish we didn’t have to leave, but my grandmother's memory is not good. I would definitely recommend it. We hate to leave. Everything was good. I thought the management team was very good. They were helpful, kind, and answered all of my questions. The food was good and the staff was very nice, and maintenance was also very good. I thought the staff was nice and caring, the community is really clean, and I made lots of friends with other residents.

The management staff is friendly. If mom falls at night they are good about calling me and I appreciate that. I do know they have a lot going on in activities. They have a great calendar for the whole month. I think they do a really good job with housekeeping. They work hard in the rooms and it is very clean. If there is something that needs to be done in maintenance and we tell them, they do it. All in all, the value is good for the most part.

My dad and sister had checked out a few places locally and my dad just felt the most comfortable there at Skyline. The Director, Carrie, my dad goes way back with her family, but I think even if she didn't, she would have given us amazing service just watching her with the other residents, she's amazing and so is Valerie and Heather and everybody else. At first when you hear the amount it's a lot but when you see what's included in all of that and just the fact my sister and I have peace of mind now because neither of us live in the state, knowing his needs and care will be met, I will say it's right on target. They did a great job of replacing the carpet and linoleum; it just looked really nice when we were able to move in. We enjoyed the food and it looked good and always smelled good. The dining room always looked pleasant and clean and the residents seemed to enjoy themselves there. Everything always looked clean and maintenance has been awesome. Everybody we've come into contact with have been very friendly, respectful and very helpful.

Management are very attentive, they're helping her a lot. Right now they're taking excellent care of her, they check on her constantly. I have a couple ladies who visit during the week and they say everyone is good, the med techs and caregivers are always checking on her and seeing if she needs anything. They do a great job taking care of her and I appreciate it. The building looks good and I've heard no complaints. I'm satisfied with everything they're doing for her and I think it's a nice place to be.

Mom's fine there, she's safe and comfy I kind of squabbled at first about the price but then you think about rent, food, bills, and needing me to go everywhere for her stuff, it's worth it. The management team is just very helpful. My mom's been a difficult case there, and they've been helpful to me, they're compassionate. The food is good and the servers are really nice to me when I eat there with my mom. The food is good, there's variety. If she asks for seconds they give it to her. If she doesn’t feel like going down I'll go down and pick up a tray for her, and even the kitchen staff is really nice. There are lots of activities. When I'm there I see they have Happy Hour, movies, bingo, hangman, and the beauty shop inside there. Housekeeping puts on extra sheets while they launder her bedding and her apartment is always clean. Mom's called maintenance for a clogged toilet, they fixed it for her. They hung up her pictures for her. The community is maintained well. Transportation is perfect too. They get her there in time, the driver helps her out and get inside. The receptionists are really nice. If I call and ask how mom is they're always good about it and tell me. They are all so nice. There's a lot of open communication. It's a nice place. I've told my daughter I want to live there.

I've been here for quite a while and I like it. I am very comfortable. The caregivers are very respectful and friendly, and when you ask a question they take care of it. I had a little problem with my TV but maintenance came in and changed something and it works now. Maintenance has been very responsive. My son couldn’t make it over and I called maintenance to change my clocks for me, they're very responsive. Housekeeping is very good. She's always comes in and does a very good job keeping my room clean. The other woman does my laundry and she does a very good job. The food and dining experience is very good. It's always good. The servers are very respectful. They have variety on the menu. I think everything is going good, I'm very satisfied with everything.

It's a very well thought out apartment building for seniors, it's beautiful, well appointed, clean and modern, and it’s very nice. My mom and I love the management team, Valerie getting us in and Natalie helping with hospice care, the management team is awesome. My mom is doing yoga and I know there are tons of opportunities. Housekeeping is excellent, my mom loves the people that come by and clean once a week and the facilities guy Jim is amazing. He's on top of it, he immediately comes up with a solution and stays on top of it until he's done, and he’s very, very helpful. My mom talks really highly of the transportation services and the healthcare staff are very caring and loving people, they're absolutely respectful and knowledgeable.

Mom moved in almost five years back and recently she got married, so she and her new husband moved into the bigger apartment, and she really likes it. The care staff is good and respectful, I haven’t heard any complaints about housekeeping, and she speaks highly of the activities. When another resident was bothering my mom, management took care of it. Mom speaks highly of the food and dining staff, she's safe and comfortable, and I have no concerns.
