St. Augustine Plantation

Management is very approachable and very receptive. I've had concerns that I've spoken with management about and they've been very on top of it. The healthcare staff are very good, very approachable and they know when to give hugs. The servers are very friendly and they all know her and take care of her. My sister has been out on some outings and that's been great. I remember asking them about the safety of the bus and they said they're very careful about who drives and how the vehicle was maintained. They're giving excellent quality services and they're not charging as much as many places do.

I love the huge open room of the Memory Care section, and Laura in sales was genuine and nice, so I moved my mother in. The care givers are wonderful. I don’t know how they do it. When we were first visiting the food was good and the activities are good. They've got an Activities Director there every day. If no one is interested they try something else, try to get them outside. Maintenance hung her mirror and pictures, they were good. I have two other people who visit her, and when they walk in, my one friend, the female, tells me it's a nice place and it smells nice. It's a beautiful place. We feel good, and we’re satisfied with what she is getting for the price we pay.

The management staff have gone above and beyond to help us and make sure mom is comfortable. They have really reached out to see if there was anything we needed. She likes the food here. They will come and get her when they play a game in activities they know she likes. In terms of her care, I haven't heard any negative from her so that is a good thing.

I toured a bunch of facilities when I was looking for a place for my uncle but, when I drove into the lot of the Plantation I had the overwhelming feeling this was the place. There isn't one thing I can say bad about this place. My trust factor with the facility is just blown out of the ceiling. Everything was so good in the dining room. The chef was wonderful and has a great personality. All the people that bring out the food are lovely. The activities are wonderful. They have a book club and just got a pool table. They have chapel and the priest comes out to see them. It is great. We get emailed the monthly calendar and newsletter so we can keep up with what he is doing. The transportation service rocks! They take him to his doctor's appointment. They give a full report when he gets back from the doctor with what all changes were done. I don't even have to call the doctor they have it all taken care of. I trust the caregivers wholeheartedly. I trust them more than I trust my parents let's put it that way.

The mangement staff are just wonderful. I have not had any problems with the adminsitration. I am very impressed with the food. It is excellent. I had stayed there for three days and I got a feel for all three days and it was very good. They just got someone in that is doing the laundry and she is doing a beautiful job. I am very impressed. The housekeeping is very good. The young man who is the driver is wonderful. It was a very postive experience. The nurses are great. They are wonderful.

I moved my mom into this community because we knew the chef there. Management has listened to me and done everything I've asked, they helped me through the transition and helped my mom. The dining is always very good, I think everything has gone as smooth as it could go.

I moved my dad in because there are a smaller number of residents in Memory Care than the average in the area, and the move-in went very smoothly. The presentation of the food in Memory Care seems to be good and we’re satisfied with the service dad gets there. I think the activities are appropriate for Memory Care individuals, there is always something going on. The managers have been very responsive so far. There have been times when I've called to speak with Megan her voice box was full, but if I text her she gets right back to me. Maintenance is very accommodating and nice, and the entire place is well-maintained. The care staff is very good. These are people who feel it's a calling, not just a job. They had some illnesses there this week so came through and cleaned everything with bleach every two hours. They sent out an email to let us know. Dad is also health-compromised so I know they are taking the very best possible care of these individuals. They always have someone there for the patients. I think it's a very good value; you get what you’re paying for. I feel it's the best place I could find for my father.

It's absolutely a good fit for my loved one. It's a nice apartment, actually a really nice little apartment he has. Maintenance is pretty good and laundry is good, no problems with that. They have music, live, which is always nice, and he likes the food. Management is excellent. They’re all really good and responsive. The care givers do a good job. The staff are all kind, friendly, and respectful. Anything I have brought to their attention they've been on top of addressing. We really appreciate all they do.

My mother is sharing a room at St. Augustine and there is plenty of room. The dining seems to be pretty good, I've eaten there a few times, and the activities staff seem to keep the residents busy. I like everybody there, the healthcare staff were very accommodating, professional and good.They're doing a good job overall and I'm happy with them, I've looked at all the other ones and they're the best I saw in the area.

The apartment Mom had was well laid out. She had a two room one bedroom apartment and that was nice. Megan, the manager, was incredible. She would address all our needs. She engaged Mom and made sure she was engaged in the programs. Anytime, anything comes up like the hurricane she would keep us informed of what was going on. That way we could talk to Mom about things so she wouldn't be surprised. Megan and her management team were very good. They communicated well and was very responsive. The dining staff was always very considerate and she always commented on how they always knew what she wanted. They would bring her tea because they knew she liked that. The young lady doing the laundry was remarkable. Mom would never put anything in the hamper so she would have to work with her to find out what she wore yesterday. She put forth the extra effort to get the right clothes in the wash. She would bring them back folded and put them on her bed. The care staff was always very aware of Mom which was nice.
