St. Augustine Plantation

My sister has lived her for a year and a half. I think her apartment is easy enough for her to move around in without it being too clutterered. The activities they have are outstanding. They are very well planned and I think they have a very good variety of activities to meet the needs of my sister. The maintenance team makes sure things are well kept in the building. All of her medication is given to her in a timely and correct way from the care staff. I think they are right on top of things there.

The reason why we chose this community was because of the front porch and the beautiful rocking chairs out front since we spent our lives sitting on the porch in our home in Savannah. The food is more interesting and a little more innovative. The person that is in charge of the activities is absolutely ingenious and wonderful. There is an amazing amount of music that comes in every week, they have a variety of music and it's very special. Housekeeping does an amazing job and honors your privacy. The lady that does the laundry could not be any more wonderful. The doctors and nurses have been wonderful.

I really feel that my dad is getting his moneys worth here. He has a great room that looks out onto some greenery, the food they serve is really good. He goes out onto the porch to socialize. For an assisted living place this is great. It always smells clean and looks clean. I think it is a pretty building with flowers and nicely decorated. It doesn't have that elderly people smell. The tranportation service takes him to and from all of his doctors appointments. I feel very comfortable about this and thankful. It has been going off without a hitch.

My mother has lived at St Augustine Plantation for the last 3 years and we have been satisfied with the services and accommodations provided to us. Management is great, the maintenance crew is wonderful and the housekeeping does a great job, so my mother is safe and comfortable at the community. In terms of care, those people are just awesome and wonderful. Overall, we have been satisfied with the community and have already recommended it.

My mother has a lovely room, a very spacious bathroom and a nice little closet, I'm very pleased with that. I've had the most contact with Megan in managment and she is a very personable and kind individual, she listens. She's an excellent lady. The dining is absolutely spectacular. They have a choice, it's well balanced, there's a nice vegetable and salad, there's always some kind of dessert. The desserts are good too, the chef does a fantastic job, they always have a choice. Laundry is wonderful, she does a very good job. The entire facility is just spotless all the time.

I think that the management staff are always respectful. I have had some instances where I had to go to them immediately and I was able to talk to someone. They have been good at fixing my husband things in the dining room. It looks like there is a good variety. The housekeeper we have is very good and very thorough. If I ask for something to be done, maintenance is good to help and take care of situations. They are all very caring. I haven't had any noteable concerns.

I think the management staff is respectful and I feel like they are knowledgeable. The food is good. They offer things for the residents to do. My dad has been on a few outings which he enjoys. One of the drivers gave his personal cell phone number to my mom because she was going to meet them at the doctor's office. That was great. They are pretty responsive as caregivers go.

My parents both live at the community and I must say the price is fair. There are several between the nurses and the techs that are real good. They seem like they're constantly working on the building so it doesn't have that disarray feel to it. They are also currently under renovation, which is nice. The laundry is good as well. Overall, everyone has been accessible and responsive.

My father has been at the community since 2017 and the price is fair comparatively to others. For dining, he eats in his room and he seems to like the food though. He is in a wheelchair and doesn't participate in the activities, but the always encourage him to do so. The nurses and staff are all pleasant whenever I have interacted with them.

When we moved my mom into the community the management didn't talk about her, they talked to her and that impressed me. She reports the food is good and she gets good service. Mom says they clean really well and coming from her is high praise cause she is picky. Everything that we've asked for has been dealt with most the time in a couple hours. I am thrilled and grateful beyond belief. I like the size of it. It doesn't have that institutional feel. It has that home feel, and I couldn't be more pleased that we found this community for this stage of her life.
