Sunflower Gardens

Management was very attentive and the healthcare staff are very hardworking, conscientious people. I thought there were more employees, the patient to employee ratio was higher than in most places. My husband was always well groomed and seemed happier there than in most places he's been.

We chose it because we liked the atmosphere and we liked the people that worked there. The management is very kind and courteous. It is not like gourmet food but it is really good. The servers are really attentive. There is an app so I can see what he is participating in. I am not sure what the different events are but they keep him busy and he seems to like it. He is socializing and I think that is really good for someone in his condition. My dad's room is always clean. The maintenance staff are doing a good job with the upkeep. The care givers give my dad the attention that he needs for his medical needs. I am very happy with that. They have called me and I am not given the run around. They do a good job.

Overall I am happy where she is. It's a very clean place. The dining room is always clean and the food looks appealing to my mom. Her apartment is always clean, and the community is always painted, clean, and kept up. Anything that happens at all the care givers call me.

I have always had a good relationship with the people in management. They are doing fine. I like this community. I have always liked the building and the way it is taken care of. I like the walk outside and I like the barbeque area. The caregivers are wonderful. They are very conscientious and they call me whenever there is a minor or major issue with my brother. They keep me up to date on his care and progress. I think they are doing a great job.

I think it is a very nice facility and I'm glad my husband is there. I think it is expensive but they all are. But, I've seen happy with it so far. The management staff seems to know what they are doing and run things very well. I think the dining department is very good. My husband certainly enjoys the food. Some of the things they've done in activities look fun to me. They do a very good with the laundry and housekeeping in keeping his clothes and room clean. They always have the community decorated for holidays. It is attractive. They also have a nice walking area outside to use when the weather is nice.

I feel like the price is good for the services my wife receives.When my wife has something to be laundered, she sets it out and it is gone and back in the same day. The housekeepers are constantly mopping the floor and taking care of things. I think they do right well. They have a fellow in maintenance there that just doesn't quit. He is everywhere doing everything all the time. There was a change in the cooking staff. The man who is now in charge of the menu has made some improvements and I am pleased about that.

I thought the location was great and the staff seemed really knowledgeable and friendly. My Dad has definitely improved since he has been here so that is a good value we get from the community. I think it is great they offer such a variety in the activities. My Dad really likes the food and the care staff is awesome. I just think the staff is great. I just spent some time with Fatima and Jesus today. They are just great and really care about the residents. It has been a great improvement over the last place we were at.

My husband did a tour and thought it was great. Christa was great. She was our first contact there and was so wonderful and went out of her way for us. The management staff were very accommodating to us as we were moving in. They went over the paperwork carefully. When I have gone over the food looks good and she is eating. The caregivers are right there at the table with them to make sure they are eating okay. She seems to be keeping her weight on and that is great. They do seem to have a nice variety of activities. The housekeeping and maintenance have been nice. We have used the transportation twice. They have been great taking her to her appointments. They send a caregiver with her and they always report back to us how things have gone. They just seem like they've really been helping us get through it. So far, so good.

We moved my mom in because we thought it would keep her safe because it was an MC unit that was enclosed. The maintenance seems in good shape. We seem to be able to get answers when we need to, everyone seems helpful. It seems like they have a lot of different activities. I do like that they have an outdoor stroll, my mother loves to walk so I like that they have that.

I am satisfied with the services and accommodations being provided to my mother at Sunflower Gardens. While I haven't spoken with management that much, I'd say they're pretty respectful and caring. I imagine the dining is good because she is eating and while I am not usually there, I know they take good care of my mother and feed her. I don't really go in her room, but every time we've seen her she is always in clean clothes, made up nicely and propped up right in a wheelchair. Regarding cleanliness, the building is beautiful and I haven't noticed any odors or anything like that. With her care, the staff helps her with getting to the bathroom, so they seem to be very caring and attentive towards her needs. Overall, I think everything is up to par at the community and I recommend it to people when they're looking for a place for their parents.
