The staff is exceptional!
My mother had to move out of Symphony at Oaklawn because she required Nursing Home care, but we never had a problem with anything at the community, so she felt comfortable living there. We loved her room, were satisfied with the services and she felt safe, so the value was satisfactory. Regarding management, they contacted us any time whenever something came up. Not that anything did, but if there wasn’t something we weren't pleased with, it was taken care of immediately. With dining, the wait staff was exceptional. Every time we were there, they were so patient and kind to everyone. Plus, the menu variety and quality of food were satisfactory for her. Regarding activities, my mother is the type of person to sit in her room all day, but the staff kept her busy and involved. The housekeeping was absolutely wonderful because it was spotless and there was never an unpleasant odor in the community, not even once. With laundry, I had actually witnessed them making a chain of linen napkins, so then the female residents sat around the table and helped fold pieces of fabric and that was just a pleasure to see because the residents had something to do too. I was also satisfied with the consistency of maintenance services because we never had any maintenance problems and the building looked wonderful, so all in all it was just a great experience for her at the community.
