Symphony at Olmsted Falls

I looked into other communities and thought this was better than the others I saw, so dad moved in, that was almost a year ago. Management is the best. I firmly believe that they have done pretty well with my dad. They are very respectful. We're talking about my dad who curses often, and that's when he's in a good mood and the handle him very well. They do have activities for them. Housekeeping and laundry are excellent; his room is always neat, clean, and nice. I tell people it's really nice. They have a lot to deal with in Memory Care, especially with him, and they do a great job. To me it's the best it can be, it's the best.

I'm very happy with the way things are going so far; I think the service we've gotten for what we've paid has been excellent. They've done very well with the activities, there's something going almost every day if not every day and my wife seems to enjoy what's going on. Housekeeping has been very good and the healthcare staff has been excellent, they seem to do a very good job.

The apartments were nice, clean at move-in, carpets were cleaned, and walls wiped down, everything worked. I am a doctor and I go into other communities and nursing homes and some could gag a maggot, but it's always clean and never smells there. The maintenance staff was marvelous. They came in to hang up pictures. Every time we called with a question, the managers answered it. They took care of issues. Moving was super-sweet, they were very, very nice. She said the food wasn't too salty and it tasted fine. It wasn't bland, it was very good. They came and tried to get her to come down for the activities, their effort was excellent. I have been in healthcare for 41 years, and I would not bend over backwards one tenth as much as the care givers did. They were nice, knew everyone's name, and treated everyone with respect. Compared to all the other places in the area, the value is 200% better.

It's a very nice room; it's always clean and nice and they did just redo the flooring so it's real nice. Housekeeping is very good, they do a very good job of keeping things nice and clean and smelling fresh, everything is always done nicely. Maintenance is great, he's more helpful than you can imagine. I know we can count on Joe for whatever to get taken care of, he's a very very nice guy, he's the best, he's our favorite. My best impressions are of the staff, the nurses' aides, they're excellent. She is thriving since she went off hospice.

My Dad's room is very smell and it doesn't smell. They do a good job with housekeeping. The maintenance team is always on top of things. The care staff does a good job. The two ladies that do the activities now are very nice and they do things. They do the best they can. I don't have too many complaints for the place. All in all, it is a pretty good place.

I chose this community for my father because it was recommended by A Place For Mom and I was looking for something that was smaller but not as expensive as where he was. I think the value is above average compared to other places. I have had nothing but prompt responses from the management team. I've been able to speak to a nurse at any given time to check on my dad. I've also been able to get in touch with people that are working with my dad hands on to see how he's doing, what he's doing and what he's been participating in. Julie in the activities department, contacted me and they're working on getting him walking again. I always appreciate that level of interest. The response time for me is unheard of at this point. Even at the last place, it could be several times calling and you still wouldn't get a response.

I've been very happy with Symphony. It's a lot to take care of my Aunt and Uncle and everyone has been very accommodating. The care staff keeps me updated and they listen to my concerns, they've been really good. Pauline and Karen are their nurses and they've been great with my Aunt and Uncle. It seems to be a well-run facility and they contact me about everything. My Aunt and Uncle have used the bus occasionally and it's been wonderful. My Aunt and Uncle are very happy with the food selections and they bring their food to their room like they request. There also seems like there is a good activity variety.

The management has been very cooperative. The maintenance staff took care of it all for the move in. They were great. We were going through a tough time and they were very accommodating for me.

We have used Symphony for respite stays in the past for my mother in law when we went on vacation. The care staff there is very caring and take really good care of her. They are like a little family to us now. The food there is really good. My mother-in-law is a picky eater and she likes the food there. The housekeeping staff and maitenance keep the community clean and anything that needs tending to is done right away. I will definitely be using Symphony again for the next respite stay. We are all like a little family.

The management has been with us every step of the way. I never have any trouble getting in contact with anybody and everything there is pretty well organized. Dad thinks he is living in his own condo. He is happy so I am happy. My dad must like the food because he has gained a bunch of weight. His room is always clean and they haven't lost anything in laundry. The gentleman that I met that was working in maintenance was very helpful when he was moving in there. He is always willing to give us a hand. The building is always very clean. They have a stand with water for visitors. Everything looks nice and nothing appears out of place. They have done a wonderful job with his care. He had some issues in the past and we haven't seen those issues arise again. I think it is because of the way they handled him and got his meds straight in conjunction with the hospital they took him too. They have done a good job with him. I am just really happy with the way they have taken care of his needs.
