Symphony at Olmsted Falls

We looked at other facilities and we found that Symphony was far and above the other places; the sizes of the rooms, the cleanliness, and the way the patients were dressed. The staff is very respectful and they really listen. That is important. The girls are very nice in the dining area. The housekeeping is superior. The laundry is going very well. The maintenance man is very helpful. He set up the TV and helped us move in some furniture and clothing. He is there when you want him. The facility seems very well maintained and clean. The floors are always cleaned up. The nurses’ aides are always there when needed. I am up there every day and I can tell you that when she needs something I can ring the button and they are right there. They are very good.

We liked the location and it was affordable and the staff was very friendly. We especially liked that right across from her room there are live birds. It felt like home. The management has been very helpful and very understanding. They weren't pushy. They are very accommodating. Anybody who answers the phone has been very kind. Even when I call to talk to my mom they have to go get her and they never act like it is a big chore. The food was good and all the staff in the lunchroom are very nice. If you ask for something different they never make it seem like it is a big problem. There is no odor when you walk through the halls or walk by the rooms. Everything looks fresh and smells clean. The floors and the paint look nice. Everything looks well kept. The maintenance man was extremely helpful. He seemed to be doing a lot around the complex making sure everything was done. I think he even made sure the coffee was available. He hung up the pictures and checked to make sure things were clean. The building is very nice. It makes you feel like home when you are first walking in and the outside is well kept too. Everybody seems to be kind and helpful. I haven't run across anyone who has been grouchy or short with them.

Management always works with me on any questions I have, they're very informative. The food is very good and the chef has very good meals for them. I get a calendar in the mail every month for the whole month of activities. They're good for the people that are able to attend them. Housekeeping is always washing stuff for us, folded and put up in my husband's drawers, housekeeping is very good and the room is always clean. I would not want to move my husband any place else. As long as we can afford it, my husband will stay at Symphony.

I think it's clean, people are courteous, and the food looks like it's pretty good. The building is in really good shape, they keep it nice and clean. The healthcare staff is very responsive, anything that happens to him I get a phone call because I'm remote, they explain the situation and give updates. They're really good; I'm really satisfied with what they're doing.

Symphony at Olmsted Falls was recommended through someone who thought it would fit my parents' needs. My older sister and I took a tour and thought it would be nice, and it's been pretty great. The caregivers are very caring. My dad brings that up, they're in Memory Care and he is very impressed with how caring, that's the word he uses, caring, everyone is, and they really are. It seems like everything is taken care of. The maintenance team accommodated my parents with everything. The only thing I had to bring in was a TV, they made sure they had everything and everything was working. I have no complaints; they've been a godsend to me. The building and grounds look beautiful. Every time I’ve gone in there it is clean and so far housekeeping has also kept up with the laundry. The management team has been wonderful, and my parents have commented that they like the dining pretty much. There's very good desserts. The wait staff is great, if my parents don’t like something, they offer to make them a sandwich right away. My father had to go get his eyeglasses fixed and they took him to the VA. Another resident happened to be scheduled that very day to go to the VA and so that worked out. My dad was very impressed with the transportation. I would say we're getting what we pay for, absolutely.

We just liked the location, it's halfway between my and my brother's house, so we moved dad in. The management has been very helpful, the food looks good, housekeeping is consistent, and the caregivers are responsive. I like the idea the activities people get the residents out on trips, dad's taken the past two bus trips. It gets him involved. Maintenance hung the pictures in my dad's room there. That was nice. We've got no worries, dad is safe there, it's a good value, and everyone seems pretty helpful there.

I chose the community because of their uniqueness in being a little more independent living, a smaller place than places my friend has been in with a little better ratio of patients to aides. Compared to the other places he's been in, they treat him much more as an individual, they seem to figure him out very well and give him the kind of different attention that he needs. When he moved in the place looked like new, it's a very nice looking place.

This was a respite only stay for me. My husband drove around to every place in town and this community had the most ammenities, was the most attractive and offered the most for the patient. I was well cared for. The caregivers made it all worth while. Houekeeping did a really good job, they have a really great team. Joe in maintenance is fantastic! He has a great personality, he relates to everyone and is an outstanding man. Mary and Linda, the mother and daughter team, were all so nice and I really cried the most saying goodbye to them. I would highly recommend this community to others.

My grandmother seems to enjoy what she's eating there. Housekeeping and maintenance are good, and in terms of activities, she gets to go on field trips once in a while. The caregivers keep up on everything, and grandma is safe and comfortable there.

My dad has been there for over three years, and the healthcare is very good. The caregivers are really nice and they do a good job. Management does pretty well, and the activities are good. All the dining room wait staff are very good there, they work really hard. Katie, the Dining Manager, is excellent. She addressed my concern when I had one. Housekeeping cleans his room all the time, they're very good. No odors or anything. When the owners changed the replaced the carpeting and repainted, it's very nicely kept, the community is well-kept. I have recommended it, it's a good value.
