Symphony at Olmsted Falls

I think the food is great. We've eaten several times with him, and he's a good eater, so there's no issue there. The servers have always been very nice to us. They keep the flowers nice, the community is really beautiful. They're good about calling and telling us if there is an issue. The aides all really like him, you can tell. There's never an issue. Being there has been the best thing for him and for us.

I stopped there and picked up all the paperwork and talked with the gal. She was just wonderful. I gave her the contact information for my dad and the VA. She did all the work. They just went over and above. My dad had never been there before, had never seen the facility or anything like that. They asked what kinds of things would make his visit more comfortable. He was able to have a room to himself, which with our past experiences at other facilities wasn't the case. The care has been just unbelievable. When he left he did not stop talking about that place for three days and how much he liked it. They must have done some really great activities. I can't say enough about the quality of the care there. We were in a desperate situation for respite care. We had visited the facility several months previous to that. I knew at that point that they required a longer stay than what we needed, but I thought it was worth calling to see if it was a possibility. They ended up accommodating us. They are incredible.

I chose this community for my mother because it was smaller than a lot of other communities I looked at. As a result it felt more like home and was more personal. I liked the location of it and they only deal with people who need more assistance. Everybody has been very nice and very helpful. I have been very happy. The dining is excellent. It is like homemade food. It is presented lovely and prepared well. Housekeeping is good. They took care of everything right off the bat. The maintenance man is very accessible. The building is very well taken care of. There are no odors here. Everyone overall seems to be very nice. They personally want to get to know my mom.

I always talk highly of Symphony. The people there are great; I got to know a lot of them. Those girls were special, they are special people there, and they are really nice. The maintenance man Joe would fix whatever needed fixing. The building was clean and nice. The outside and grounds were taken care of well. If I needed anything done they would take care of it. That was great, the cleaning was super. They took care of that real well. The food is great there. A lot of the time, if she didn't like it they would make her something different, they knew her habits and exactly how long to cook it for. They treated my sister with respect and dignity.

I like that it wasn't on a busy street; it was on an off street, so that was a big plus for me. I like the location and I love the huge porch because I think it makes it feel more like a home. Those were two things that stood out to me as physical things and I was impressed with Diane when I interviewed with her. Paula, the evening nurse, is especially attentive to my dad. Danielle is the billing person and she also does the support groups with Becky, everybody has been very attentive. The grounds always look beautiful. I have recommended Symphony to other people.

I checked with a few of the communities and spoke to my daughter who's an investigator for Ohio and did nursing home and assisted living for many years and said this place was rated pretty well. It's been absolutely, positively great. My father says the caregivers are so nice. I just seem to trust them a lot. He's eating everything and seems to be gaining weight. The housekeepers are so nice. She cleans up his room and helps him with his puzzle and talks to him, they're very friendly and everything is spotless.

I think the price is fair for what is received. It's a nice place, it really is. I have spoken with the Executive Director and he was respectful and knowledgeable. The dining room is always clean and the menu seems to offer a good variety. There are plenty of activities. Whether they participate or not, it's up to them. It's spotless. The housekeepers do the laundry with no problems. The maintenance man is always working and doing something. The caregivers interact very well with the residents and everyone knows my mother-in-law's name.

They are one of the best places I have seen for Memory Care. The management staff is very efficient, and they are always there. They are very friendly and we have been very happy with what they do for my husband. Their food is very good, and very well prepared. Sometimes we have to convince him or he even refuses to eat, but they work with him. The caregivers are always up on his medicine and everything. My husband's clothes are washed regularly, and they are always put up and the place has always been clean.

The price is definitely good compared to others. The management is pretty responsive. My aunt and uncle really like the food and there is always food to snack on. The activities are going well. Everything is kept up really nicely and everything with laundry has been fine. It seems like the residents interact with healthcare staff well. Management has been pretty responsive. Since my father has lived there I haven't had any problems with the management. Housekeeping is fine. Maintenance seems good and they help out when they see you need help. Like if you're moving something in, they'll help you. The care seems to be fine as well. The value is good. It's better than a nursing home.
