The Villas at Sunset Bay

My mom is always very happy with the food. I haven't needed the maintenance much but when I have they are helpful. Everything always looks really good and well kept. The care givers are all very nice.

I chose Villas at Sunset Bay for my mother because when I went in to see it, it was clean, staff made eye contact and of what I saw with their inter-reactions with other residents, they were kind and gentle. The healthcare staff are very, very good and I like the fact that some of them have been there 3 to 5 years, so maintain to keep their staff. Prior to moving in, management was very professional, addressed every question and called me back, so it's been an excellent experience. I am thanking God that I found people who love her, hug her and even though she is like a baby now, the affection is really important and I feel comfortable knowing that they're doing that.

I did a lot of research and The Villas just exceeded expectations, they really just care, and I didn't get that from all the other places. Management greeted us with a smile the first time we walked in there, they showed us around and spent two hours with us, they explained everything they do, how they handle each patient and watching them, they knew everybody's names. There was just such a positive surrounding and feeling, I'd want to stay there, they're just loving. They're doing their job and just going over and beyond in a loving and caring way. The food is delicious, they would cook you something else, whatever you were in the mood for, the chef came out and greeted us and asked us what we thought of the food, which was pretty amazing, and they give a lot of dignity to the residents that are there. We were there playing bingo, they do bible passages, and they connect with everyone. When you go to the Villas, it's lovely, it smells lovely, you don't feel like you're in a facility, you feel like you're in a community. Everything is clean; my mother's room is always spotless. The healthcare staff goes above and beyond, they chat with you, and they’re just amazing.

We chose this community for my step-father because of the location, secureness and activities offered. He seems to like the food very well. As far as I have seen from the care it has all been okay.

I have a lot of optimism and I feel that it is a tremendous decision that I made to bring him here. The move here has been an excellent decision. They are doing their job and they are doing it well. The management has done an excellent job or I wouldn't be there spending my money. It is very good food and very good staff. I am very pleased compared to other places that I have eaten. It is the only place that I will go for my own lunch. I know there are a lot of activities and they are very focused on activities. In regards to the maintenance, what I have seen has been good. The elevator works. The facility seems to be clean and organized. The care is what my dad needs the most and when he needs it he gets it. It has been a 2000% improvement from the other place. I have high expectations that if my dad has a problem he is in good hands here. I want to thank them for having a dedicated facility. As I became educated I realized that this is exactly the place that he needs to be. They are not providing a babysititing place. They are providing a pyschological, safe home in the mind of their client. They are figuring him out and allowing him to have a much better life in the moment.

We looked at some communities and felt comfortable moving dad in here. It's very clean, inviting, and the people are wonderful. We felt very comfortable and we still do. We have had no problems so far. We like the food. When we told them what he liked the servers and kitchen changed it up. I think there is a large array of things. We're working to get dad interested in them, we liked that they bring dogs in, because dad was a dog handler in the army. They went above and beyond to find a German shepherd for dad to play with. It was a big dog, not a shepherd, but she tried. The Activities Coordinator goes above and beyond. We have been more than happy with housekeeping and laundry. My dad messes up his room and they're trying to keep it clean. Maintenance helped us move everything in, set up his TV and the call button boxes. It feels like a nice hotel and the outside areas are very nice. The care givers have been wonderful, more than wonderful. In the beginning they would text us and text pictures to let us know what he was doing and I really like that personal touch. It's like being with family, they treat us all well. We feel more than blessed with what we chose for him. He is safe, we feel comfortable with him there. We feel he's getting his money's worth and we feel comfortable with him there.

She feels comfortable here and even says at times when we have her out that she can't wait to get back home. I think the management team has a good handle on things. I appreciate the fact they always know her name, what is going on with her and where she is at in the building. She has a substantial amount of food available to her. Anytime she decides to go down and is hungry something is available and it is good. They have a great amount of activities offered to them. The care staff is very cautious about how they handle her. They greet her at the door and it if it is late, will bring her back to her room and help her get ready for bed. The care and nursing staff has been really good and very nice.

My mother recently moved into Villas at Sunset Bay and so far, I like the value being provided. Management is doing well, the dining service is great and the food quality is satisfactory. The activities are good and well planned, the maintenance of both the building and her apartment are satisfactory. The cleaning is great and laundry is being kept with, so there is consistency with housekeeping. Regarding her care, the care staff seems to be doing great with taking great care of my mother, so overall it's been a good experience for her thus far.

Sophia kind of talked me into it, she was and still is very helpful, she took my mom under her wing and I get more reports from her than anybody else. Management has always answered my questions, Laura has been a big help, they all help, Sophia and Betsy were a big help. The food I've had there has been good and they have a big calendar of activities at the front desk with what's going on. The housekeeping is great from what I've seen and the maintenance is good. Everybody has been very respectful and friendly to everyone.

I chose this community for my mom because we took a tour a couple of times, we spoke with Sophia, the sales director, and we were impressed with what she told us. We went with it and we've been happy since my mom moved in, things seem to be going well. Management has been very responsive with any questions we've had and they've kept us informed every step of the way. Everything looks clean and well taken care of. It seems like we're getting a good value for the money being spent. We've been very happy with the whole experience and my mother seems very happy which is very important.
