Walden Place

We feel like we have her in a quality program and that this is the best place for her. We are very happy that she is there. They are very friendly and engaging and the keep us posted and in the loop. Anytime we've had a request, they've been very responsive. They keep her room very clean. They help her with her laundry when she needs, and she needs quite a bit of it. They keep it attractive. Anytime mom has had a request in her apartment, maintenance have been right on it. They take the best possible care of my mom they can. When we go visit, the nurses like to tell us how she is doing. They are very attentive to her and very supportive.

They were very personal. It was like living in a home, and not away from home. I can't say enough about it. In the area, it's really the only place that I would feel comfortable with having my mother go to. The care staff cared about what they were doing. They do their job there. Even with the head of maintenance, everyone knew his name. He did a good job. The housekeepers keep it clean and everything, but it's the personal connections. They come in and they kid around a bit. It's very good. The activities schedule is unbelievable. In the morning, they go around and knock on every door and invite everyone to the exercise. They do a nice job with activities. There are special functions and stuff. I attended the summer BBQ. It was fun to see the interaction between the staff and the people that live there. It's their home. Every time I ate there, I thought it was great. The food was high quality. The management team was open about things. Everybody there seemed to enjoy working, and it starts at the top. Compared to other places, the value was very good.

Management is very helpful. They worked with me and gave me the time to find the right home for my mother when she needed to move out. They were wonderful, and their communication skills are tremendous. The director is always accessible and knows the regularly visiting family members by name. They had a summer picnic and invited the families. That was great, and it was enjoyable. They also had Thanksgiving dinner, which was good, and they are having a Christmas dinner with the families. These events where they include the families are wonderful. They are giving us time to be together as a family in a relaxed atmosphere. I know it is a really long day for the staff, but it means a lot to me to spend time with my father. The housekeeping is excellent, and maintenance is right there and really good. They help out and understand that these residents are elderly. The residents are getting served properly by the caregivers, and their response times are really good. The value is excellent. My husband and I visited numerous communities, and this one is in the middle of the road. My father isn't getting anything less than the more expensive communities.

I like everything that I see here. The food is excellent, they have different choices and my brother is always bragging about how the food is so good here. They have a lot of activities, housekeeping does a good job and the building is clean, neat and set up perfectly. If he needs any help, the caregivers are right there. It is great. Everyone is so friendly courteous and helpful. Everything has been great so far. He is getting everything that he needs and I have seen a difference in him already. It is a little expensive but it is definitely worth it.

After discussing several places for our mother, my sister and I had heard good things, so we booked a tour, had lunch, saw the rooms and were very impressed. Management is responsive and the apartment is much bigger than what she previously had. The transportation service is convenient and she tells me the care staff check on her frequently, which is wonderful. The building looks excellent and the housekeeping services keep things very neat. The dining experience looks like an elegant restaurant or cruise ship. It's pleasant, clean, neat and the food is delicious. All in all, she feels safe, comfortable and doesn't even lock her door at night. I am not ready to go, but I told my husband that if I ever had to go anywhere to take me there.

Management has been very responsive and they are proactive and friendly. The food is good and the building is excellent. It is very comfortable and doesn't have a hospital smell. I think the value is quite good.

The overall friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the place, and the willingness to help anybody at anytime makes it a good value. They are very flexible. The food and all the activities that they have are great. I don't know how the care givers could be any better. I can talk to anybody for anything. If they don't know the answer, I can always find somebody. The transportation services are excellent. The building and the common areas are graet. The maintenance does a rgaet job with that, and the lawns are always cut. The housekeeping is excellent. The food is good, and they have a lot of variety for them. It is a great place.

They only hire people who are happy, positive and loving, so I am really happy with the staff. The food is pretty good and I love both, the atmosphere and the dignity in which they can enter the dining room. The grounds are beautiful and healthcare services are very receptive when you call with suggestions. I love when they take them on trips, like to the theatre, because it's inspiring for my mother. All in all, she is happy, which is the most important thing and I have never seen any place run as well as this. They really pay attention to how residents are doing emotionally, mentally and physically.

She is pretty happy there. She loves the resident meetings where they can voice concerns. She definitely enjoys the dining, and the activities are her favorite part. They put out a calendar every month and she makes sure she gets it and checks off everything she will be doing.

The healthcare staff do very well, check on my mother a lot and it's nice that there are long term faces. Transportation services are flexible and the building is very pleasant. The dining has been very good and she is very happy with the meals. The value for the price is very good and I am satisfied with her apartment. All in all, she feels comfortable and management keeps in touch to make sure my mom is both, happy and safe.
