Walden Place

I had stayed here before and I was very satisfied with it so I chose this community when I was looking for a place to move. I think it is a very fair value. I am upstairs in one of the higher areas. The food here is super. It is very good. I like the housekeepers very much. They come in and straighten it up every day. Everything is very clean. The bathrooms in the gathering area are clean. They are quick to respond to items that brought to their attention. The care staff is very polite.

My dad’s happy with the food and had some nice activities there. The caregivers are great, I think everything is excellent. Dad’s apartment is cute. He's very safe and comfortable, he's very content. It's easy access, it's clean, the food is descent, and the people are angels there.

I think management is great people and their concern is for the residents. They are all approachable and their intentions are good. My grandmother likes the food and is happy with it. The service I observed during the Thanksgiving dinner was fine. She likes the white tablecloths and says the staff is friendly. The staff at this community work diligently to offer the residents a variety of activities to do. I am pretty satisfied with the housekeeping. I haven't ever walked into her room and thought it was unacceptable. The woman who cleans her room is very nice and helpful. She pays good attention and will let me know if my grandma is missing anything. The laundry as far as I know is fine. I haven't heard of things getting lost or ruined and her drawers and closet are always full. Maintenance just put a new roof on the building this last summer and did some work on the water and Hvac system. They have a regular plan in place for keeping up with the building. The transportation is working well and she enjoys the leisure rides. They are good about taking her and picking her up from her appointments. The care is okay. They do her meds for her and give them to her. They have a good handle on that and are doing a good job with the care.

For the peace of mind, her safety, satisfaction, and happiness I am pretty satisfied with the value we get here for Mom. The cleanliness is good from what I see and they seem to do fine with her laundry. She likes to take the van out and it is a great service. She talks about the driver all the time, she loves her. I like that they took her to Lights at the Lake, she loved that. The care staff has been fabulous. She loves everybody there. I have also been satisfied with the service she receives from dining, activities and maintenance.

We love the management at Walden Place. Management has always been very responsive in answering my questions and concerns and I appreciate that. The care staff has been responsive, they joke around with my dad in a good way, and they’ve been great. I've seen the list of activities and they seem to be very good. Housekeeping keeps everything very clean and very neat in my dad's apartment. Overall we've been very happy that my dad is living here and appreciate everything they do for him.

Management has been very helpful with my mom. Housekeeping does a good job, my mom's room is always very clean. When maintenance moved my mother from assisted living to memory care they got her whole room set up just like her previous room so she wouldn't get as confused. The care staff helps my mom with whatever she needs and they make sure she has all of her meds. I think the value is very fair and I always feel very secure knowing someone is with my mom 24/7.

Walden Place has been absolutely excellent in every aspect. We looked at several other places and this one was kept up the best and the price was in a good range. In regards to the management, we have had very, very good relationships with them. They have been very helpful every bit of the way. They answer questions whenever we call. In the dining area, the staff has been very nice. The variety seems great. It looks delicious. Laurie in housekeeping has been wonderful. She is there every step of the way and she says hi to us when we come in. Heather has been very nice too. There are no issues with the laundry. The maintenance staff has done everything. They came and put a paper towel holder up for her. He fixed a door on a cabinet. They tightened something on her wheelchair. Her heat went out one day and they fixed it within an hour. They have been great. The building is beautiful. The aides and the nurses have been great. I am very pleased with Walden Place.

There are ony two assisted living places out where we live and having been there and looked at it I knew it was the nicer one of the two of them. The management is absolutely always available and they always have the answers. They look into anything that they don't have the answer to. They are very good. If I get an answering machine I get a call back that day or the following morning. The food is fabulous. My mother is thrilled with the food. The girls seem to know who wants what. They bring her her coffee immediately and they know she likes coffee. It is right on the table when she sits down. I appreciate the fact that they have so many different things going on there for people. The best thing for my mom and the thing that she always makes sure she gets to is that they have a catholic communion service once a week and a catholic mass once a month. She is satisfied with the housekeeping. The care staff is great. Even if we didn't have other choices I would still be thrilled with this place.

My mother absolutely loves it there. Management is very friendly and helpful; I can't say enough nice things about them. My mother is very happy, she loves all the food. I know she enjoys all the church services and participates in everything; it's nice to see her social again. The healthcare staff always checks in on her and I appreciate that very much, they are right there. Everyone is friendly there; it is very comforting knowing she's happy and cared for, I'm very happy.

My husband was here for seven months but needed a higher level of care. I do think the value is fair. The food was good and they served fresh vegetables. My husband's room was always clean and the bathroom was immaculate. They always had him cleaned up and dressed properly. The landscaping is beautiful. They have a gazebo and a wall garden for the residents to enjoy. The transportation to the VA for him worked out great because I could just meet him there. The care staff here is just excellent.
