Walden Place

My wife and I moved into Walden Place last year and it's been a good place to stay. There is plenty of room for the two of us here, the care is very good, the management is good and there is plenty on the dining menu. If you don't like the main course, you can get something else so it's good to have options. The activities are good, they have exercise 4-5 days a week and some other ones, but supposedly they have some more exercise equipment coming. Our day for housekeeping is Monday and they do a very good job, including the laundry that is done once a week. Maintenance just put a new roof on and the landscaping is nice, so I would say they do very good with maintaining the property. Overall, it's not like home, but it's very good.

I am dad's POA and the managment team has been helpful to me as I live far away. They help me check on him and they gather his mail and send it to me. He seems to be very happy with the food served in the dining room. The transportation service takes him to his doctors appointments and the bank. I think the care staff does keep a good eye on him.

Walden Place is a great place. I'm an old person and I know what good and bad is and everyone here is good. This is my home now and they treat us like this is our home. The dining is very good, I don't have to cook or do the dishes and the servers are right on top of things. There are enough activities for me, there are always things going on. The care staff is very good. Housekeeping and laundry are very good and it's great that I don't have to do this either. I never have to tell housekeeping what to do; they just come in and get it done.

I feel like we are getting our money's worth in this community. One of the things that drew me into placing my Grandma here is because everyone genuinely seems happy. The staff is a reflection on how the place is run. The food they serve in the dining room is like gourmet food. I feel comfortable knowing she is going to get a well rounded meal. There are a lot of activities to choose from and some really creative ones like pumpkin bowling. When I moved her in I felt like I was leaving Grandma in good hands. There is always a lot of staff around and they are always smiling.

All of the caring staff that I interacted with were all really nice and very good, the staff was very professional. I think maintenance did a good job and housekeeping and laundry services were excellent as well! Housekeeping was on time and consistent. The activities were pretty fun for my husband to participate in. I also enjoyed the food and from what I could see, my husband did too. Management was professional, courteous and caring.

The Walden Place has an excellent dining service, excellent presentation, the food is wonderful and I just love it. It looks like you're eating in a 5 start restaurant. Management is wonderful, friendly, helpful, they assist people, they're always handy, they always help out when a resident needs anything. They have a lot of great activities and mom has a blast going to the activities. Housekeeping and laundry are done for them and my mom says, "I just can't get used to this service, it's like I'm on vacation." Steve, in maintenance is doing a great job and the nursing staff is wonderful. I am going to keep her here as long as I can.

They take good care of my brother and I don't know if there have been any problems recently. The hallways are clean and odor-free. The welcome area when you first walk in is always pleasant, clean, and inviting. I have eaten there several times and I think it's excellent. They have the second best coffee I've ever had. I think the community is top-notch.

It's a beautiful place and if it was me, I would go there. The care staff all seem to be focused on meeting everybody's needs and knowing their patients so that's good. Every time I go in there her room looks really good. The transportation service was excellent. The management staff was really friendly and gave me information I needed. If you ever needed anything there was always someone on hand to help you. I liked the atmosphere and the people were very friendly. I thought if anything happened to me, this is where I would want to go.

I am very satisfied with the management here. The food is very good. Housekeeping is very good and I don't see much dirt around here at all. I do exercise when I can get up, but it's kind of early. I like exercises; they really get you started in the morning. Transportation is good, they take you places. It's just like asking your parents to take you somewhere. The care staff gives me my medicine and I haven't had to use my pendant yet. It's good here.

Housekeeping cleans regularly, and they know my mom. She knows when to expect them, and they do a good job at it. They have a lot of activities and they are open to feedback on what kinds of activities the residents would enjoy. They accommodate requests and suggestions in a personal way. They helped my mother set up a place where she could do a puzzle. They are probably the most accessible management team I have ever met. They are always around. They are always open. They take your calls. They sincerely listen. They go out of their way to be helpful. They are just excellent.
