Walden Place

It seems as though the new Memory Care Director is trying to get them involved in some activities. I can't say if they're entertaining, I'm not there every day. The laundry and housekeeping services have been good. We have had our ups and downs, but it's a good place for my mom.

The value is fair for what is being received. I think the dining is really good. I don't pay a lot of attention to it, from what I've seen it looks excellent. I think there are good activities. My aunt has moved into Memory Care recently, I'm not quite as sure what they do there, but from what I've seen they look good. They've been doing some renovations like the rooftop and gutters, all of which look really good. Her place is always clean. I run into the housekeeper who is very friendly and goes out of her way to do things that I ask like straighten up and de-clutter. My aunt likes her, which is good.

I think the management staff is doing the best they can there. The value seems reasonable. Every time I have visited the community it seems to look good. I have no complaints at this time.

We're very happy with it. I think the caretakers have been very on top of things. The maintenance department has been very helpful. Everything is very nice. The cleaning staff is very helpful and good. I think they have a lot to offer activities wise. The staff is wonderful. They are very helpful and friendly. The overall feeling of the place, the staff, the looks of the apartment, everything seemed very good.

It's in the home town where my dad lives. There were only two options there. It was a good selection. I think they helped him hang some pictures on the wall. I've met the maintenance guy, he said hi when I saw him in the hallway. He seems pretty good. I know that housekeeping does his laundry and trash, things like that. They do his bedding and everything. Everything looks clean. I don't know if he partakes in any of them, but I think what they do is pretty good. They do card games and tours and things like that. I ate there over the Fourth of July they had a nice barbeque, it was good. I think everybody does a good job there.

The management is excellent, top of the line. The dining room is like a restaurant and it's wonderful. I love the dining and the food they serve; I have eaten there a few times myself. They keep them well entertained with plenty of activities and keep their minds working. The housekeeping and maintenance is excellent.

Everybody likes the way I have my apartment arranged. They have a good variety of food to pick from, the service is pretty good. They have some good waitresses. They have a birthday party once a month and a man who sings and plays. They just put a new roof on and they're putting in wider sidewalks. I use the transportation to go to the doctor. They keep good track of what day to go and what time to be ready. They say they're getting a new car in a couple of weeks. I think they seem to be doing fine here.

I have been very impressed with how things have been improved in the last couple months, and that is really nice to see. They hired Sarah, the new Memory Care director, and she is fabulous. I think the kitchen staff is excellent. The activity director, Amy Underwood, is outstanding. Those are wonderful in the daily living unit. In the Memory Care unit they are less, but I have no doubt that given a new director the activities will improve. I think the housekeeping staff is excellent. For specialist appointments, my mother uses the transportation services. During the daylight hours, they are wonderful. Just recently, they are fabulously dedicated and wonderful. I was told they would increase the 24-hour and night time staff and I am assuming that has occurred. My mother would fall and I used to get a call once a week, and since they have said they've done this I have not received a call. So that tells me that she is under better care. It is encouraging.

When the employees are happy, friendly, and welcoming, it makes everyone else feel that way. The dining room is beautiful. My mom has said the food is good and the staff is friendly. It seems like they have yoga, exercise, and entertainment there. So far I like it. She loves the people there, feels they love the residents too. She feels well taken care of. I would very much recommend it.

They're classy; they pride themselves on being the best. The caretakers are available and competent and the maintenance staff really knows their business. They're on it all. The management staff was very efficient and friendly. The food is great. I think there are plenty of activities, more than adequate. They bring in different singers and acts. They're as clean as they can make things. The housekeepers are outstanding; even if your bedspread gets a little stained they will wash it.
