The Wentworth of Las Vegas

My grandma moved into the Wentworth in February of 2017. The caregivers are doing a really good job and they really care about my grandma. The building looks good. It's great, it's renovated, it's clean, and new. I would recommend it, I have already.

Wentworth has gone above and beyond with trying to do the best job that they can. When you look at the whole picture, it's an excellent company and my mom says that they have so nice there. They just love their apartment, it's terrific. They're really happy with the food there and the service is nice and friendly. The activities do pretty well, there is a new lady there and I think she is doing great. They go on the bus outings and thos ehave been great. I think it's so good of them to get my parents out and about. My parents are happy there and they just love their place.

I eat lunch with them on Fridays and my experience is that the food has been very good. The building is very nice. My parents don't use the care givers yet but my dad has fallen a couple of times and they were very helpful and considerate. They are top notch. Overall, my parents seem happy and comfortable there.

It has been about 8 months since I moved my Mom in and they just changed the dining hours so now breakfast is in the morning like normal, but you can come in whenever you want between 12 and 6PM, which has been great for my mom. There is always stuff on the board for them to do for the whole day. The building is a lot better than some places I have seen. The ladies that I see they are always greeting me and the place seems clean. Although we have had a few issues, I would recommend the Wentworth.

The staff is amazing and incredible. I have seen a lot more activities recently and I know they hired a new person. My mother doesn't participate, but they definitely try. Maintenance is excellent. Anytime I have a problem, Marcus is up there and ready to help before I even get back to the room, so it's great. The healthcare staff go above and beyond, they're absolutely awesome. A lot of times my mother doesn't want to eat, so they will put her food aside and when she wakes up, they get right to it so they're all great.

Management is very friendly, nice, and helpful. Housekeeping good and maintenance has been very helpful. The caregivers are very good and very nice. We haven't had any complaints so far. I would say everything is fine.

They have a very good standard of care and have a good ratio of aides to residents. When they talk to my father-in-law they demonstrate a clear level of personal interactions with him. He has used the transportation a couple times to get to the VA appointment. That's been nice to have that option because that's one less way my wife has to transport him. I'd unequivocally rate housekeeping perfect. They are exceptional. Again, that's another real positive mark for them compared to what we were accustomed to. Every day we go in his bed his been made, he is dressed so nicely, you can tell they've recently mopped the floors, and it smells clean. They really stay on top of that, which we appreciate.

My mother doesn’t use that much care, maybe a few meds, being escorted. She doesn’t have a lot of needs. If I ever have a concern I just call the concierge, and they're very responsive. Overall, I think it's worth it. The activities are good, but my mom doesn’t participate, but that's her choice. I think they have an all-around sound program. My mom's on hospice and I appreciate the way they work with all the caregivers who work on my mom's behalf. It's nice to know they're cooperative and understanding.

They were the only community who would take an insulin-dependent Diabetic with Alzheimer's. It was highly recommended. My mom seems to be doing fine with the food in the Memory Care unit. They go at least once a week on a trip that I know of, which has been good for her. For the most part the care staff seems to be pretty good. It seems like there is a lot of people working, they're always available.
