Windchime of Chico

We got my mother in law a room that overlooks the lake. She likes that because she was raised on the island of Bermuda. She can see the turtles and the geese and makes her feel more at home. I feel the food is fine and the service in dining is fine also. My mother in law is doing a few of the activities. She is 93. She likes the Happy Hour. I think the care staff are meeting her needs. I have gotten to know the girls and I think they are doing good. I am satisfied with the service she is receiving from housekeeping and maintenance.

My parents seem quite happy with the dining and the servers are attentive and excellent. Maintenance is so on top of everything. If you mention anything, they have it done in a day or less. Whenever I'm there the place is always clean. For what it is, the healthcare is great.

I am satisfied with the laundry, apartment cleaning and consistency of its service. She doesn't participate in activities, but that is of her choosing because the activities are entertaining, well planned and consistently offered to the residents. My wife and I have been there to eat several times and we think the quality of the food for my mom is fine.

My brother came to visit my mom from the Bay area and they brought in a cot for him to sleep on there with mom. Just the little things they do make you feel so welcome. Everyone has just been super friendly. Pretty regularly they check in on her and she really likes that. She doesn't feel lonely and likes them popping in. Mom has been really happy with the care. The staff in dining is extremely helpful and serve quickly. The food is fresh and hot. She has been very happy food wise. I would say the value is really good. She is paying about the same as she was for independent at her previous place but getting 24/7 care.

The personnel on staff seem to be much more consistent. I see the same people a lot now, whereas before I saw different people each month. For almost a year I am seeing the same people over and over again. That shows me the stability of the operation under the current management. The administration have been helpful with providing answers and if they didn't know they would go and seek out the answers. I am happy with the services she is getting for the price she is paying. My mom seems very happy with the food. Her weight is being maintained. That is a good indication to me that she is being fed adequately. The activities look very adequate to me in keeping the residents active. She is getting her medications from the med techs and aides. They appear to be adhering to a very consistent schedule. They make sure she gets the meds and help with other issues such as teeth brushing and they lay her clothes out each day. I have total confidence that is going smoothly. My mom's health reflects that attention.

It seems to be a normal price and my dad gets good service. The service in the dining room seems fine. They got some new people and changed some things around. This community has the calendar of activities posted all over the place. They certainly make the residents aware of them and encourage them to attend. They mix the activities up and do a fairly decent job with that. When he wants something cleaned housekeeping gets right on it. When there have been issues, maintenance takes care of them right away. Everything seems to be pretty decent and there is nothing in noticeable disrepair. Everything is nicely painted, there are no odors and they do a good job. The caregivers are real attentive and professional.

I chose this community for my mom because on top of my town burning down and having to find my mom a place, you guys were the first ones that actually called me back with information. You guys helped me. Everyone in management was helpful. I've been very impressed with the healthcare, they seem very attentive. One day I was there and my mom and the activities director was sitting there doing puzzles together, the young man was very engaging.

We looked around here and of all the ones in Chico we liked Windchime the best for my mother. Looks like they have taken care of any potential safety problems as far as I can see. The care givers are responsive and respectful, and the managers were very helpful. They went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of for moving in. My mother likes the food better than where she was before, and so far what activities she says she's done she says is good. They have a calendar app. The maintenance man was helpful and housekeeping has been great, they keep her apartment clean. We’re satisfied with the value, and so far mom tells me it’s good.

It was a combination of outdoor and indoor environment, the rooms were more spacious than some of the places I had seen elsewhere, the program looked good and there was flexibility, and the food looked good. It looks like there is a nice activities calendar and I'm really pleased with the Activities Director. The facility looks very clean overall, it was immaculate. The healthcare staff is excellent, they've been responsive and have given me feedback. They're on par with what's available in the area, I'd say they're slightly more than some and less than others. I think they're a good value for what's available.

We toured several places with my parents and we all liked it, felt like the staff was friendly and it's a good location for us. All of our interactions with management have been great, they've been very helpful and my parents have been very complimentary of the food. I feel like there are activities every day that interests them or that they enjoy doing, a lot of music and performances, they enjoyed going to Target on the bus, it's been good. My parents have been very happy with the care providers, they've been really kind and nice. I think it's all good.
